December 1, 2017Love these little guys
I've been carrying a set of the peenuts on my rack for a few years now and wouldn't leave home without them. The slot really well in to super thin crack with only the tiniest of undulations. Plus they feel bomber for their size! Make you feel all nice and cozy when you're thrutching above them! Took a 25' winger on this piece where no other gear was available:

February 13, 2016Great addition
A handy substitute to the more expensive DMM HB Brass Offsets in the larger sizes. These little nuts have relatively thick wires and will take a beating. Although they fit pretty well into flared, bottoming cracks, I would make two changes so they fit better. First, I would round the edges and include a little scallop like the Brass and Alloy Offsets have to bite into irregular… read more rock better. Secondly, I would make the taper symmetrical instead of assymetrical so the nut sits better in flares

September 23, 2015Excellent Stoppers!
These are fantastic stoppers that have a very nice offset shape. If you're looking to rack some stoppers, these combined with the DMM Alloy Offsets make a good team. I really like these because they weigh nothing, but seem to place everywhere.

Not much to add hear, but these guys are great and placements in the tiny stuff is intuitive. Perfect for me who like to sew it up :)

November 3, 2014Show Stopper!
As much as all the hooligans at the crag want to watch you rocket out of the sky, and take massive whippers because all other gear wont fit - you'll cut the in flight movie in half when you sink one of these bad boys into a pin scar. Tapered offset shape makes them want to stay in their home. If only Happy Gilmore could have golfed with these, and the hole was a thin crack.… read more If you climb where it's scary, you can limit that scarefactor in two ways - (1) - just get scurred. OR (2) - invest in these.

September 23, 2013Good addition to DMM offsets
So far, have only purchased the #5 peanut as an addition to the DMM offsets. I will get more in the smaller size eventually. Fantastic stoppers, place very well and secure due to the irregular shape.

April 26, 2013Bomber small pro
These things are so light I almost always carry a set. Since they are aluminum they are more durable than brassies but have less bite. I have climbed primarily in Jtree with them and they are perfect when the going gets thin. I've taken falls on these guys and trust my life with them.

nice addition to my rack - can't wait to use them! They're made out of aluminum so they are not as soft as the copper

November 30, 2011DMM Peenuts
These are the most useful little-dudes I've ever had on my rack. I primarily climb Southern sandstone and they are indispensable on the classic run-out traditional face routes! They fit in the tiniest of placements and the slightly offset nature of the nut often allows them to get maximum contact in places where a traditional nut won't even pretend to go! I recommend these… read more little boogers to anyone!

April 15, 2010Great protection for when you find youself puckering
These things work wonders in LCC granite. I've whipped on the smallest size several times and it didn't even thing about pulling. They are somewhat specialized but you'll be amazed the places these things fit and the security the offer on an otherwise puckery run out.

March 20, 2010aw, nuts
These are pretty fantastic. Rated higher than similar sized BD nuts, and they flare both downward and to the side, as do many cracks. I carry 1-5 to supplement a BD set, but will probably pick up a few more in the future. Get some!

December 3, 2008Funky cracks beware
For pin scars and small flared cracks these are unbeatable. I still carry regular nuts and just suplement with these for areas with funky cracks and gear.

November 17, 2008A must to include with the offsets
DMM brought back the offset nuts. A must in the southern desert sandstone flaring cracks and damn handy in the Canadian Rockies as well. Only set I carry now. Have no idea why I would need any others.

April 11, 2012How does the size of the peenuts compare...
How does the size of the peenuts compare to the DMM brass offsets? Why choose one over the other? Does the brass work better in certain rock?
