December 11, 2020Runs waaaaay big
My baby girl is 15 weeks old (nearly 4 months old). She is 95th percentile in both length and weight. I ordered a 3-6 month initially and I didn't see how in the world she would grow into it for the winter, it was so big. I returned it and ordered a 0-3. The 0-3 was too small. So I returned that and reordered the 3-6 thinking maybe the original 3-6 was mislabeled. Well it was not… read more mislabeled and again I received a bunting that is far too large for my little girl who is very big for her age. She has outgrown her 3-6 month wardrobe and most of her 6-9 month clothes as well however she is swimming in this bunting. I guess the good news is it'll fit her for several months, come summer time she'll be sweating but styling. My gear head was great through this whole process and added notes to help future customers. I wanted to leave this note here as well to help purchasers.

November 14, 2020Great but runs quite big
My 7 month old is 60th percentile in height and 50th in weight (according to the pediatrician). I bought the 3-6month size and it's huge on her. As others have noted, the suit is lovely and warm, and it will be great ... I'm not going to return it since I am hoping for a whole winter's use. But if you're dithering, size down.

October 9, 2019Big but snuggly
My 7 month old is in the 92nd percentile in height, and this swallows her. It will be handy for next year, when she can comfortably fit in it. The color is exact, and it does seem snuggly warm while being light weight too.

January 3, 2019Bunting for the Win
I just got this for my niece for Christmas. Her parents were beyond stoked when they new that she'd be warm this winter and next. We got it a bit big so that there's more bang for the buck and will last at least 2 winters. Overall this is super legit, the down is very warm, but paired with the high pile fleece lining it is truly a child's best friend in the winter.

November 7, 2017Coolest Aunt Award
Look, if you want to make your little one look adorable, buy this thing. I bought this for my little niece and it seems to be great. The sizing seems to be a bit larger than expected, but that isn't an issue with winter clothes, it will be just big enough to layer underneath.

November 2, 2017Present for the niece
Bought this as a gift for my niece. She seems to be comfy in it. doesn't cry, or fuss. Just lays there and hangs out like 4 month old do. My sister and brother in law are happy with it. Seems to be easy to get the niece into and keeps her warm in the frigid northern Midwest temps.

October 30, 2017Must have winter Adventure Suit
When your life is all about adventuring in the cold, you want your little one to love it as much as you do. The high loft down is the way to let your kid fall in love with winter adventures. Warm and cozy, your little one will be free to enjoy the adventure! What we love: foot and hand covers- we use socks/ boots and gloves but these covers let us make sure our little one isn't… read more gonna kick a boot or a mitt while she is in the pack. Hood: Oversized hood fits over her hat and the fleece "fur" keeps her feeling snuggled. Bunting: Easy to get in and out of the suit for trailhead gearing up. What you should be aware of: Sizing: Runs BIG- we have found most Patagonia infant clothes to run large (granted our daughter is on the small side). Last winter our daughter wore the NB until she was 6 months ( 14lbs) This season she is rocking the 3-6 month and she is 17lbs and 10 months. We have put this through the ringer as her backcountry suit and her fall camping suit. We love it and plan on buying one each season until she's 18 :) !

This suit is awesome! Patagonia has used quality materials ensuring this suit will be handed down from one munchkin to the next. Your little one will love this when the winter weather sets in. Yes, it's expensive, but you're getting what you pay for with this suit.

January 30, 2017Down bunting
Awesome bunting. Every time we've put our daughter in this, she's come out toasty warm...And it's pretty dang cute to boot. Runs ginormous, she's almost 7 months (pretty close to 50% height & weight), and she's still wearing the 3 M Size with a bit more room to go.

January 28, 2017Warm, sleepy marshmallow
The Patagonia High loft onesie is awesome for our 7 month old. We throw it on her when we put her in the stroller and she goes right to sleep in it. The only drawback is that because of how thick it is we can't use it in her car seat with out adjusting the straps. Overall, incredible product.

December 24, 2016Very warm but runs very LONG!
Bought the purple 12-18mo for our 13mo daughter. She is 75% percentile height yet the bunting was very BIG that we had to exchange to one size smaller, 6-12mo. Pic is with the smaller size. Even when temp outside is around 20F, with one fleece layer, she can fall asleep because it's warm and comfy. Happy with the purchase. Kudos to Backcountry and Patagonia!

January 25, 2016Super warm but runs big
I picked this up for my daughter to help her make it through her first winter in Park City and it's been a great option for her on cold days. The two zippers on the chest make it really easy to get her in and out, and it's really nice having covers for her hands and feet. The insulation has been plenty for her so far - she tends to run on the warmer side of things, so we put her… read more in this with just a fleece onesie (or two) underneath and she does well. We tend to have her in an Ergo Baby carrier when she's wearing this, so she also gets some insulation from the carrier and warmth from whoever is carrying her. My only complaint about this is the sizing. We have a 0 month size and our daughter is just over a month old now. She is starting to fill in the chest/body a little bit, but the arms and legs are really long on her. She's a relatively long baby as it is and I'm pretty sure that she will grow out of the chest and still have at least an inch or two on the arms and legs.

January 8, 2016I Now Hav a Big Purple Mashmallow
.......that is warm and happy. The Patagonia Hi-Loft Down Sweater Bunting is a really nice outer layer garment for those cold to really cold days. I put a baselayer and s light fleece layer under it on a 10-20 degree day and my little girl was happy. The material is a bit more durable than expected for having down underneath but I can tell that we can't be too hard on it. Also,… read more the fit is a tiny bit big, but that's good as she'll grow into it a bit.

January 5, 2016Your Little Ones Deserve the Best
I purchased this as a gift for my friend's 1 year old. No one likes to be cooped up in the house all day, but no one likes to be cold outside either. The Patagonia Baby Bunting is the perfect solution to getting outside with your little ones during the middle of winter. The 600 fill down keeps them toasty warm in the freezing temps and the DWR finish lets you be outside even… read more when it is precipitating. And what's better than oogling over how cute your little kiddo looks when they are dressed up like a fashionable Michelin Man?

December 17, 2015Seriously The Cutest
Got this for a friend who just had a baby, and it is the cutest thing ever! She says she uses it every day for winter walks outside. It looks SO cozy. Wish they made these for grown-ups.

December 3, 2015Wanted this to be better
I was super excited to receive this. We live in Wisconsin and want a way to get our baby out with us all winter long. I bought another brand's less expensive version of this and was disappointed at the level of loft as it used mostly down feathers instead of clusters. This patagonia item was 2.5x as expensive, but again it just doesn't have all that much loft, certainly not as… read more much as the adult version of the hi-loft down sweater. I also worry that the very lightweight shell material would rip easily, limiting the hand-me-down potential. We're sending this back, going with the cheaper one and putting another fleece layer inside it. Sizing seems generous, which is nice. Lots of room for a fleece onesie inside of it.

October 1, 2015Does it get any cuter?
Gave this bunting as a gift and the recipient (and their Mom) is THRILLED! Very comfortable and warm, great for the coldest of days. Patagonia uses ethical down, another plus!
