Fi'zi:k Antares R3 Versus EVO Saddle reviews and deals for sale

If you like to mix it up a bit and move around on your saddle, the Fi'zi:k Antares R3 Versus EVO Saddle might just be your perfect match. With a relatively flat profile and Comfort Core padding, the Antares R3 Versus EVO is perfect to move fore and aft, side to side, and grip as you push into sharp corners at high speeds. Its stiff, but not too-stiff carbon-reinforced shell helps you stay in control of power, and k:ium rails help you get the most of your upgrade budget, without wavering under pressure the way some alloys might.

When you head for your weekend cruise up the canyon, the wings of the shell offer just enough flex under your weight to keep you comfortable, while the carbon helps dampen road vibrations. The Versus channel in the center alleviates pressure to your most sensitive tissue, and because it doesn't go for the full cut-out style, you maintain a bit of additional stiffness for powerful and fast descents. The shell is topped with strategic placement of Comfort Core padding that takes the sting out of cobbled classics, while the top Microtex cover gives a smooth surface to keep your shorts in good shape, while holding up to the elements.

Wont hold up

I have one and it wasn't long before the cushion part of the nose broke. Too bad , because it was one of the best saddles that I had owned. Light weight and comfortable.

Perfect for me

Saddles are super individual, but when you find one that works its awesome. This one is it for me. The channel eliminates any numbness, the nose isn't too wide. I left my kit at home and went on a 2 hour gravel ride in boxers and basketball shorts and I was fine. That's a solid testament to a good saddle.

Flimsy or Compliant?

I was drawn to its simple construction and light weight and looks. It served me well for many miles until my rides grew to over 3 hours - and the imperfect fit really showed itself. It's a fine saddle for sure, but a couple issues. First, the pads are glued to the base and one of them pulled away. I fixed it with super glue. The other is the cover for their taillight attachment read more rattles a bit and seems like it could fall out easily. I wedged it in place with a saddle bag so no big deal. It's certainly a great saddle for the money. It has a sexy look on the bike: it looks lightweight and luxurious. The base flexes in a way I like, but almost too much. Buy one and see for yourself.

High Quality, not for me

I was impressed with the quality of materials and construction, as well as the weight, but at the end of the day, things just didn't work out. Objectively though, an excellent saddle from Fizik!

It's a saddle, and it doesn't suck

Let me start out by saying this: I'm a lightweight guy, and not the strongest rider ever. I won't notice the difference in power-transfer between two similar saddles, so that never factored into my decision. But here's why I bought this, and continue to put my butt on it: it hit all the marks for a comfortable saddle, and for a decent price. Quick wing taper, plus the added wing read more flex, keeps your thighs from rubbing on the saddle. Perineum cut-out keeps the numbness away. I like to move around in the saddle, especially on long climbs; the relatively flat design allows easy movement, and the top cover is slick enough to move but grippy enough so that you don't feel like you're sliding all over the place.
