i think these are one of the best all around tires for the price. i've ridden these for the last three years with few flats, a long lasting tread, and a good ride. of note is that i'm 6' 275 lbs. and i ride these on 19mm wide rims at 80psi in the front and 90 in the rear without ever any problems at all. i've been very pleased and competetive has them at a great price too!

Good grippy tires - confidence builders no doubt. At this point - 1 month in - I am quite please with performance enhancements over former Contis

July 29, 2020Excellent all around tires
I've only put about 100 miles on these but so far, they are showing literally no wear, were easy to install, are a large upgrade in terms of ride and grip from my previous Bontrager Race tires and looking forward to many more miles.

June 30, 2020Good tires for a good price
I have about 400 miles on these, and so far, they've been very good. I ride the 25mm tires. Smooth rolling and stable cornering. They show no signs of early wear, so hoping to get 3K miles or so out of them.

May 21, 2020Great tire, great price
These are comfy, smooth-rolling tires that hold well in corners. They are a touch smaller than stated (closer to a 23 than a 25) when set up (easily by hand) on my & the Mrs. wheels. Have had issues with Vittorias cracking a lot on the sidewalls in the past, but no issues in the first 200 hot miles. Would be good tires at $30, so at the sale price they are a screaming deal.

May 13, 2020Great tires and a great price.
At this price it is almost stupid not to try these tires! They mounted by hand only (a struggle but I did it by hand). To get them off however I made need a tire iron to get things started. I don't have a lot of miles on them yet so I cannot attest to durability of resistance to flats. I moved up from 23c to 25c in the Rubinos but the Rubinos seem faster - they just really roll.… read more They are supple and soak up some road vibration (not as good as conti, but close). They are grippy in corners and on fast descents - I trust them much more than the previous 23c tires. I was treat my bike to conti's, but thought these might be close to the same performance at 1/2 or 1/3 the cost. Get yourself a pair!

May 8, 2020Really good tire for a great price.
I bought the 28 mm version of this tire and am very pleasantly surprised by how good they are for the price. They grip well and are very comfortable, as they can be inflated between 70-100 psi making the ride nice and cushiony. After a few rides and almost 200 miles, they show almost no wear, which is to be expected. I bought another 4 tires as spares. I highly recommend these tires… read more as everyday trainers that are comfortable and plenty fast.

May 5, 2020Every one I've had is perfect!
I've been a Vittoria fan for years. And Rubino Pros are like a best friend: always ready, a pleasure to ride, and last forever. So far, my new ones are more of the same. Why change?

April 29, 2020Couldn't get tire on
Had to cut it off the wheel. Waste of money, makes sense why they are 70% off, must have changed manufacturing over the years, can't believe this is the same tire that was getting 5-star ratings.

May 9, 2016Excellent All-Rounder or Training Tire
I traded up from a set of Vittoria Zafirro Slicks (700 x 25) to these in 700 x 28. Visually there does not appear to be any difference in size but I have not actually measured. The ride quality is very good and the grip is night and day better than the Zaffiros. The price was very good and it didn't take me long to see the benefits in the reduction of rotating weight and the improved… read more grip. Would have given it 5 stars but I have not noticed a comfort improvement as one would expect from switching to a higher volume and more supple tire. I am not trying to say that these tires are not comfortable, they are. Just not as comfortable as I would have expected.

March 15, 2016Longevity
I'm pleasantly surprised with how long these tires hold up. I've taken the same pair from late fall, through some sporadic winter riding (even on the trainer), and into mid spring. No flats. (Yet.) They feel a bit more supple than Gatorskins, and they won't throw off your bike's color scheme. I happen to like Conti orange, but it's not for everyone--the Rubino Pro 3 lets you run… read more jet black if that's your bag.

February 10, 2016Good training tires
I have put thousands of miles on these bad boys this past Fall and Winter and I am pretty impressed. Tire wear is very good, I'm able to get 2500 miles off a set (I do rotate them at ~1000 miles). They are also pretty puncture resistant, no cuts on cinders so far (just three pinch flats). Rolling resistance is okay, better than my heavy duty Continental 4seasons but they definitely… read more don't feel as supple or fast as my Schwalbe Ones. They offer a pretty good middle zone between durability, puncture resistance, rolling resistance, and price that make them great training tires. The one disappointing thing about these tires is that they do not grip very well in the wet... Compared to aforementioned Contis or Schwalbes I feel more slippage and less confidence once the roads get wet. I would not recommend these tires for all out descending. Despite this weakness these are still good training tires if you can get them at a good price. Just be careful in the turns!

February 3, 2016Great all around tires
Very happy with these tires. I moved from 23 to 25 so i am not sure how much of the smoothness I am experiencing I would contribute to the larger size, new tires or the model/brand. These tires are one of the best values in the market considering their excellent performance. I will have to see about its puncture resistance but so far so good.

January 3, 2016Great all around
They ride well and last a long time. I've had many sets and after trying several others, I always come back. Great price point and seem to steer clear of punctures.

December 12, 2015Sticking with these for Winter
I make a point of trying out as many tyres as possible, but for getting back to the basics of a simple tire that holds up over the long haul, these are the top choice right now. Perfect tire for winter for the durability, puncture protection, and the price. Have been rocking 25mm, but I'll be giving 28mm's a shot for the nastier weather that's about to hit Utah.

November 22, 2015The reviews were right
I was looking for a tire to replace the vredestein fortezzas , since they no longer came in yellow. These Vitoria Rubino Pro 3s are better. Grip, responsiveness, and the feeling of lighter weight ( although actually slightly heavier) give the bike a sharper, more controlled feel. And the yellow is spot on!

November 5, 2015My new favorite tire
I love this tires they're so comfortable!! I decided to purchase them because of the Great review and did not disappoint me they feel great and not to mention that when they go on sale at competitive cyclist you can grab them for almost half the price.

November 3, 2015Standing out
Got these tires just before I rode the Salt to saints, WOW, these were great and smooth. I also got the yellow ones, yes you could see me coming.

August 28, 2015Great all around
Stock tires on my CAAD10 were aweful replaced them with these after my first ride. Bought these because of the good reviews as an all around tire and they have lived up to the hype. Rolls smooth handles well and looks great comparable to gp4000s' but cost less and in my experience more durable

August 18, 2015All Around Solid Tire
I've had Vittoria Rubino tires for three seasons, driven on Utah bike paths and traffic-congested, potholed roads in Boston. Husband and I both have rubino tires on our bikes and have had no slipping and zero flat tires in three years! They look awesome and are very dependable. Great road tire, definitely worth investing in.

In reference to the detail picture of the tire tread, which way should the tire be mounted for the tread to be in the proper rolling direction? Most tires I have had show an installation arrow on the sidewall, but my set of these do not. Thanks.

What does the one year warranty cover? They say puncture resistant but on my fourth ride I already have flatted twice and have a whole in the tire.
