Lightweight Functionality

Great hydration vest. I primarily use this for short/moderate runs to hold my huge phone and some water, but knowing this could be used for much longer runs. This vest breathes well, fits securely, has numerous pockets and pouches( only 2 zippered) which are perfect for their purposes. Water bottles are IMO better than others tasting clean water with no plastic taste as advertised. read more I am a bigger guy at 225lbs ~44 inch chest and Large fits adequately and comfortably. Thanks UD and Backcountry.

Get a Salomon instead

I've had plenty of packs, but this one has got to be one of the worst. I've taken it on a few trail runs between 8 and 15 miles and this pack reminded me it was there for every step. You have a choice between letting the bottles bounce around like a bra-less 90 year old lady or tightening the straps down to the point you can hardly breathe. In case you start to get used to the read more bounce the seams will rub on your neck like a cheese grater. So awesome. This is incredible to believe because I have a large chest (44 inches). Smaller runners must have this thing riding halfway up their neck. The only good things I can say is the pack breathes well. The new UD bottles don't have any plastic taste (as advertised), but they are remarkably stiff and the nozzles don't come apart to air out. This also means the tips aren't interchangeable with any of the other hydropak flasks you may already have. Do yourself a favor and go get a Salomon - there's a reason they're the gold standard.
