We've had the Thule Stacker on our Jeep Liberty for three years now, quiet literally it doesn't come off. They fold down relatively flat and create absolutely no excess road noise. I have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. I use this rack with my factory installed luggage racks and it works great! I recommend putting those rubber or plastic screw covers over the mounting bracket screws though. If your boats are heavy enough, or when you tighten the straps, the crossbars will sag down and the screws will scratch the top of your car.

Love the stacker! I was hesitant when I bought it because it's meant for white water kayaks, and I own a 10' Pelican recreational kayak & 16' Perception touring kayak. Used this for several years for white water, and open water kayaks and everything in between, Done two cross country trips with a kayak strapped on it with no issues at all. Great Little Rack

I've got two whitewater kayaks up on it. Holds the things solid as a rock. I just did 500miles with them up there and didn't worry about them the entire way. Jeep Grand Cherokee with a standard roof rack. My only gripe is that you need to be nimble to attach things to it, in that I have to pretty much get up on the roof. This is an awesome value rack.

Kayak stacker

This is a good solid product. It is stable, easy to use and install, and reliable. The only downside is that attaching the straps around the kayaks when the stacker is attached to a mini-van roof rack can be a bit of a chore.

This really is a great and simple solution to carrying more than one kayak and not having to buy a number of different holders. One of the only downsides is it can be hard getting the strips through the top of the holders and around the kayak if you don't have a longer reach since the kayak is standing on its side.

I also have 4 Thule systems and this has been firmly attached to my SUV since 2007 and has seen every weather condition possible. I just got this rack and love it. It works really well for whitewater boats. I've even found that the space in the middle of the rack works well for carrying paddles.

The Stacker

The Stacker works great! We easily carry three kayaks (one tandem, two singles) atop our Honda Odyssey. Install the straps through the stacker first and lay them out toward the front and rear of the vehicle. After the kayaks are placed on top a simple flip of the strap and you are ready to secure!

I've got my Stacker on a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I'm carrying (2) 10' kayaks on it. I love it. I can single handedly have my kayaks up on the carrier and tied down in less than 10 min. If it's windy, having another person to hang on to the the first kayak while loading the second is helpful.
