Thule Outbound Cargo Bag reviews and deals for sale
The Thule Outbound Cargo Bag packs a full load of gear for when you're driving far away and space is a concern. The test-proven, weather-resistant fabric protects your gear from anything you might come across on the road, and PVC-free means the bag is environmentally friendly. Compression straps cinch your cargo securely in order to reduce friction and noise against your car, and heavy-duty, double-stitched webbing straps attach the bag to the car durably and securely so you don't have to worry about whether you'll be seeing your gear or not when you reach your destination. The three-sided zipper makes it easy to pack this bag, and a heavy-duty storm flap over the zipper helps keep water out of the bag. This bag attaches to most factory racks, and it folds down for a compact storage when you don't need it.

December 16, 2020Got the job done.
Initially purchased this roof bag in 2015, and have used it several times. We've used it camping, taking it on some rugged roads where it stays put. We have driven through snow storms and rain storms, and everything inside stays dry. We have even taken it through the car wash (not recommended) but it survived and kept everything dry! It is flexible and HUGE. We can fit both of our… read more suitcases, backpacking backpacks and more inside. I am Purchasing a new one as a gift for my husband so we can each have one.

August 13, 2014This bag was huge disappointment
I purchased this bag for a road trip to Colorado from Texas to carry extra luggage on top of my FJ Cruiser. On initial installation I found the bag to be acceptable other than the straps once cinched down had lots of extra length and had no clean way to secure so I just tied them to themselves which looked sloppy and made it take twice as long to remove. The bag survived the trip… read more up, but there was a little wear noted in the inside material. On the trip home however the seams on the rear of the bag near the zipper failed and I almost lost my luggage. The bag was not overstuffed in fact it just had a duffel bag and 2 back packs in it so slightly under stuffed. I either got a lemon or this bag is simply insufficient for the intended task. Either way Thule needs to improve or stop selling. Backcountry.com was awesome and promptly sent me a return shipping label and credited my account so I could purchase a better product.

Can you attach this bag to the factory instaled side rails? My Ford Escape does not have cross bars. In the Thule web side it does not say anything about side rails but it does in the descprition here.
