The North Face Recon 30L Backpack - Women's reviews and deals for sale

The North Face's Recon 31L Backpack has everything you need to maintain efficiency and nothing excessive to leave you distracted. With a variety of specific-use pockets, the Recon keeps you fully organized to help you stay on-top of your to-do list. A dedicated laptop sleeve is padded and fleece lined, and securely holds your laptop separate from the main compartment. An internal organizer lines the front zippered pocket and is equipped with a padded tablet sleeve, a pen organizer, and various small patch and zippered pockets for loose essentials. A small zippered pocket at the top is fleece lined and perfectly fits your reading and sunglasses, dual water bottle holders can double as a quick-grab pocket for your cellphone, and the extendable stash pocket is large enough to hold a wet rain jacket, your winter gloves and scarves, or a small lunch. As you fill all these dedicated pockets, the weight on your back naturally increases so that is why The North Face equipped the Recon with the FlexVent support system and women-specific shoulder straps. A fully padded back panel and shoulder straps gives you all-day support while a breathable lumbar panel and flexible design gives you ergonomic comfort.

Not at all functional

I bought this in hope to use it for our family's trip to Europe with our 2 kids. Honestly the bag disappoints tremendously. The zippers don't open all the way through, so accessing things in the middle compartment of the bag is a NIGHTMARE. The first compartment (where you can supposedly put a laptop in) also doesn't open all the way and cant fit anything else, its very tight. I read more didn't carry a laptop but carried an Ipad in a child proof case and it didn't fit well. The 3rd zipper is only half the size of the bag, meaning its not as deep so also cant hold much. Plus the bags tips forward, its like there a board at the area that touches your back and when you put the bag on the ground, it tips forward. So all of that when you're changing diapers of a screaming toddler while on vacation, and you cant access your stuff in the main compartment (the middle zipper) because the zipper doesn't open and things obviously go to the bottom of the bag (and when you put stuff like the ipad in the first compartment, it reduces the space available in the middle one that my hand could barely fit through to reach things like the diapers!!) and your hand can barely fit through it and the bag keeps falling forward... I HATE it. I wish I had spent $40 in another brand that I saw at Amazon that looks way more functional....

Backpack

I bought this backpack for my wife because we are both Seminary Students and she needed a new, durable backpack. She likes the backpack but, as others have said, the straps a bit short. Nice little backpack but I could not give it 5 stars because of the straps.

Echoing the previous review...

I am going to agree with the previous post regarding this backpack. Great quality, but he straps ARE too short. I did read her review prior to purchasing, but since I was looking for a higher quality backpack for my eight year old daughter I figured shorter straps on a woman's backpack would be fine for my 60 lb kid. Nope. Not long enough to allow for any major adjustments without read more sacrificing comfort and likely proper ergonomic support. I tried it on myself (5'6", 117lbs, 34B) and it felt like a straight jacket. Very disappointed.

This is a great quality backpack but....

This back pack is great quality but the women’s size has REALLY short straps! The chest buckle will strangle you and the padding of the strap doesn’t even reach my armpits! I say go with the men’s pack if you want the straps to at least fit you. I’m 5ft btw. I don’t have a long torso, In fact I would say my torso is a bit short AND the straps still don’t fit properly. read more VERY disappointed. Which sucks because this backpack is great quality and it fits my stuff.
