Lighter than expected

Good quality overall. They could be warmer. They feel really tight once you put them on, the fit is great, the warmth in 30 to 40 degree weather, not so much. Good windbreaker ability

Tore after 5 wears

Tore after 5 wears. That's more than $10 per wear. I expected more from North Face.

Not so warm running gloves.

I live and work in Rochester, NY which isn't known for it's warm sunny climate. Here is my review of the The North Face CloseFit Gore Soft Shell Glove. Fit: Based on the sizing guide I ordered a medium which fits my hands very well. There is a tiny bit of room at the finger tip's but nothing to complain about. The cuff is tight so putting the gloves on and taking them off requires read more some but not a lot of effort. Usage: I brought these gloves for running, so I didn't test out the touchscreen abilities. I usually don't bring my phone with me on runs so it's not a particular feature I care about. While wearing the gloves, I had no issues with getting keys out of my pocket, pulling ribbons on pockets or anything like that. The gloves didn't restrict my finger/hand movement in any way. Weather: I wore these gloves on two runs so far and here is my observations. They do block the wind and my hands didn't get wet from the light snow and rain that was falling each time I ran. If running at temps around 32 degree's F the gloves barely kept my hands warm. If running at below freezing, say 25 degrees F my hands were frozen in less than 25 min's. And that was with using Outdoor Research PL Base Sensor Glove's as a liner. Conclusion: I'm really on the fence about returning these and getting something else or buying another liner glove to see if that helps. Either way, these are shells and not full on gloves and most certainly aren't good for colder temps on their own.

Amazing Light Grippy Gloves

The first time I tried a pair of these on in person I knew I had to own them. These gloves are designed to fit tighter than normal gloves which threw me off initially. I have huge hands, and almost always have to get xxl size bike gloves for them to fit. These only come in xl so I was worried and they felt tight at first, but they are supposed to. I use these gloves for a cycling read more glove and in the winter I use them with pogies. They work amazingly. Their like a second skin and are extremely comfortable. They have a grip compound on the fingers as well so I can leave them on when I use my phone for strava etc. Water/Windproof keeps the hands dry and warm, and they dont have or need any padding. Awesome glove for any activity. They are much more comfortable than any of my full finger cycling gloves, but not to warm that I couldn't use them in the summer as a do all glove either. Highly recommend. Gore stuff is amazing, and though the say north face they are made from that amazing gore material.
