Swiftwick Aspire Four Sock reviews and deals for sale

The Swiftwick Aspire Four Socks are created by a 200-needle machine process that yields a high density, seamless knit fabric. The process allows variability in the finished knit of the socks, as different parts meet different performance requirements. For example, the cushioned footbed gives way to the thin channeled upper -- both components playing a crucial role to increase your comfort.

When you slip into a pair of Aspire Socks, you'll immediately feel that they're tailored for your feet. The arch band offers snug support in the midfoot, and the Y-shaped heel contour assures no bunching or overstretched feeling in the back. The "four" in the name refers to the four inch cuff height. This height makes them feel great in inclement weather when a bit more coverage may keep grit and dirt from falling down into your socks as it gets thrown up from the front wheel. In addition, the taller cuff height, along with the multiple knitting patterns in the footbed and cuff, adds to the compression nature of the socks to promote blood flow in the feet and lower legs. And as you might guess, improved vascular performance means reduced fatigue and speedier recovery.

The dense nature of the material all but guarantees durability when combined with the abrasion resistant properties of Olefin, one of the prime components of the foot of the sock. Olefin is a lightweight polypropylene fiber that Swiftwick sources from US manufacturers. Then the socks are created in Tennessee in Swiftwick's own factory, where they can oversee every step of the process to ensure tight quality control. The Olefin wicks like crazy to keep your feet dry, but removing moisture from your skin is only half the story. Olefin is also hydrophobic and will not absorb water, so the moisture transfer is complete all the way to the outside of the sock. You'll stay dry, comfortable, and blister free since the socks move with your feet and minimize (or eliminate) abrasion against your skin.

The Swiftwick Aspire Four Socks are available in Black, Grey, and White and come in four sizes from Small to X-Large. It's worth noting that the fibers used in Swiftwick socks are colored during their creation. In comparison to socks that are dyed after knitting, this makes Swiftwick socks stronger and more durable.

Best Socks!

Tried a few brands and Swiftwick is hands down the best fit I’ve found (at least for a woman). They’re snug and stay up but don’t cut off circulation. No bunching. Loved these so much that I just bought a bunch of the Pursuit version for winter riding in Boston. Thanks for making these great socks swiftwick!

The Only Socks I Will Wear

The Aspire Four is absolutely the best cycling sock I’ve ever put on my foot. Period. The compression is spot on - firm, yet comfortable to wrap the foot. They are super breathable as well, and actually do move sweat away from the foot very expeditiously, indeed. The are also basically bulletproof, in a good way. I’ve put a couple thousand miles on the first two pair I read more purchased a few years ago, and they still look brand new and have the same level of compression as the did on day one. I haven’t had any issues with friction or blisters even on rides in excess of 50 miles. Keep them clean and air dry and I’m pretty certain they will last essentially forever. I own several pair, not because I’m worried they will wear out...mostly so that I don’t need to do sock laundry 2-3 times per week. Stop reading this review and just buy a pair, or six.

Expensive but super enjoyable

These socks are obviously very pricey, but I love them. Favorite riding socks to be honest. I don't know if they're "worth the price," but they're noticably better than the other three socks I have (priced at: 4$,6$,9$).

Can't Go Wrong With These

You can't go wrong with these socks for everyday riding. FIt is nice and supportive, these won't slide around on you. The material doesn't get smelly as fast as others which is always appreciated. They do feel a bit thicker than other summer socks I have but that doesn't seem to affect breathability, they wick sweat fast. Fit is true to size, although since they are supportive/compressive read more there's a chance they'll be too tight if you have wide feet. Made in the USA and a solid satisfaction guarantee make these even better.

Best cycling socks

I have been riding for many years, and Swiftwick socks to me, simply, are the best. Carefully thought out and designed, and produced. Nice and tight, good support, feel great...and many many designs to choose from. Not some goof-ball look.... Many sock lengths to choose from. Buy em !

Great riding sock

I give these socks 5 stars. They breath well and fit snug with no bunching. The material below the ankle is lighter than the ankle cuff that aids in the cooling of these socks.

Will buy more

These socks are great. The width is designed for women or just those with narrower feet. If you have average or wider feet check out the Swiftwick Performance Four socks. To start, they are super comfy and the toe seam is hardly noticeable. Some socks have an annoying toe seam that causes pressure points, these do not. They are breathable and do a good job wicking moisture to keep read more your feet dry, as the brand name implies. They provide some compression for the foot/ankle/calf and they seem to help stabilize my ankle a bit because of this. I use them for mountain biking but they seem like they would be good for any physical activity. Durability is good so far. Fit is true to size. I plan to buy more.

The best yet!

These socks are made to fit perfectly. The knitting is zone specific and assures no slipping or bunching at all. My gripe with lesser socks is that knitting bead-seam just above the toenails that can promote discomfort on long rides. Swiftwicks have figured out how to make that seam, seamless! They are a bit pricey but you will soon forget that when riding with these. Oh yes, read more they last and last.

Oh yeah!

Maybe the best? At least as good as Assos, definitely better than Defeet. The only other sock that stands out in my mind as competitive is the Giro Hrc Team. Stay tuned for updates....

Very comfortable & perfect fit.

These are absolutely the best socks I own. Extremely comfortable and the fit is perfect. I had discomfort in certain areas of my feet on long rides for years and that went away almost immediately when I started wearing these socks. I got them in white. Perfection.

New favorites

I love that Swiftwick makes its socks in such a wide variety of lengths--I'm not tall, so having the option to get bright, fun socks that don't have a 7in cuff is great. Plus, the mint color I got is beautiful. If I could, I'd probably try to ride in head-to-toe Celeste, but I'll settle for these for now. Fabric is soft and stretchy, and it doesn't bunch over time or take up too read more much space in my shoes. Stock up!

Durable + Compression = Love

Swiftwick socks are fantastic. Nice and snug to your leg, no sliding up and down., and durable to withstand many wash cycles. It is one of those socks that you could feasibly buy 2-3 pairs and rotate those through consistently and not see the sock break down. For those of you that wear out socks and take pride in it... Good luck wearing these ones out... Happy cruising out there!

You'll win races

Swiftwick is the third pair of compression socks I have tried (the others were Nike and UA), and these are perhaps better in terms of comfort and dryness compared to the others. The fit is great, it doesn't grab on to the top of the ankle too hard, a feature that I have found to be common among some brands of compression socks. This makes them comfortable to wear for biking and read more hiking. The best feature is the fact that there is no seam on the toes, which prevents bunching up on long runs (i.e. no blisters). I have worn these on 100 mile bike rides and they stay relatively dry compared to regular socks. The socks have just a touch of cushion to them which makes them comfortable to wear. As for hiking, in my experience these are good for going shorter distances. NOTE - the term "FOUR" in the product title refers to the length - Swiftwick makes socks from Zero (ankle socks) to I think Twelve (knee high). I saw reviews for other Swiftwick socks where folks complained that they didn't receive four pairs. Thought I'd point this out - you're buying one pair..

The best cycling sock period.

As a cycling sock connoisseur- and frequent purchaser because of that darn washing machine that seems to eat them, I have tried many a sock. None compare to these. Breathable, Comfortable, Wicking, and Compressing. Brilliant socks! And available in a wide variety of colors.
