December 12, 2020Great price, weird fit
I was on the fence about trying merino again as I am a bit sensitive. The fit made the decision for me. I guess I missed all the reviews on this one. Very odd fit. I would expect a bit more stretch from a base layer. Don't really want to keep them, but not sure it is worth the cost to ship back for a return. I am on the thinner side. Not super curvy, but not exactly a stick either.… read more The rise is too long leading the crotch to hang down. I think my thighs would get chaffed if I did wear it. The ankles are narrow. I had a hard time getting my feet through the opening. A little snug on the calves. I give it a meh.

November 25, 2020Cut is not for a typical female shape
Gave this brand a second chance in a a size larger after wearing the annoyingly awful fit small size to only discover the same poor fit. Incredibly tight fit when pulling over the feet and so tight around the calves that it pulls them down, leaving a large gap for about 2-3in of the upper inseam. Having not a single decent review over 3-stars, I am curious why you carry continue… read more to carry them at Backcountry?

November 17, 2020Poor sizing and construction
Way small sizing, and no stretch or give at all in these leggings. Could barely get them on. Everything I own is size medium or small, these didn't fit good at all. Claustrophobic feel to them. Wool blend is cheap quality, doesn't compare at all to other wool leggings.

November 12, 2020Fit VERY small
I am normally a size medium in most things. I got a medium in these, and the crotch made it to about the higher part of my thighs. I could not pull them up any more. The fabric is not stretchy at all. I feel like I would like them if I got a larger size.

October 30, 2020Too small
Ordered a medium and found them to be waaay to small on me. 5’4” 140lbs with athletic build but could not get past the tightness in my calves and thighs.

August 7, 2020Listen to the reviews: Too Small
If you are any type of athletic individual, then these are not the pants for you. While I could put a size medium on, the fit was wrong. Too tight in the thighs which results in extra fabric below the butt (I think there is a name for it, but I don’t know). I am 5’1”, 130-135#. I usually wear a small, so I followed the suggestions to size up, but that made the torso and the… read more legs too long.

January 7, 2020Terrible
Pretty convinced these are made for a damn baby. I’m 5’1 and 100lb (basically a baby??) and could not even get these over my thighs in a size xs. They are super thin and are not worth it.

February 23, 2019Where these made for a child?
These are so dang small! According to the size chart, I am right in between a medium and small in Stoic sizing, and I have another pair of *medium* Stoic leggings that are now fairly baggy/lose on me, so I decided to go with the small, however, they were so small that I literally could not pull them up over my knee. I also have pretty skinny legs, and they were so skin tight, it… read more felt like I was going to tear them if I tried to force them on any further. Such a bummer they did not fit, because my other Stoic leggings were great aside from being a little too big in the end. I returned the product for a refund.

Got these as a gift, they are adequate

January 29, 2019Adequate for the job
Read the reviews and I sized up. I had to get a Large and I am size 8-10. The waist was baggy but the legs were tight. They fit ok and they do the job but the legs were tighter then I expected. I kept these since they were such a good price. They are mid to light weight insulation.

January 13, 2019had to return
Strange cut- got my normal size which is medium (occasionally I will go between small and medium) and they didn't come up all the way- it was like they were low-cut. Thin material. Had to return. I've liked some previous bottoms I've had from Stoic, but not this one.

January 4, 2019They are okay
I got these for my wife, she says they are super warm, which is what you need in a skiing base layer, but they aren't super stretchy so that makes the fit and comfort a bit challenging, especially when trying to fit them over ski socks.

December 16, 2018It does the job
Nice primary bottom layer, doesn't itch and works great under ski pants.

October 31, 2018Very odd cut/sizing
I'm a thin, tall-ish woman that usually wears size small in base layers. Given the reviews, I ordered a medium. However, I couldn't even pull them all the way on - given the non-stretchy fabric, they got caught at my thighs so the stride hung about 6 inches lower than my body. Totally odd. I suggest Icebreaker for good merino baselayers that have a bit of stretch.
