The Stoic Merino Blend Baselayer Bottom features a blend of merino wool and polyester that's both toasty and strong, a good layering piece for ripping groomers at the resort or taking peaceful hikes in the snow. Wool helps regulate your body temperature, is odor-resistant, and naturally breathable, while polyester enhances the fabric's durability and helps to wick moisture away from your skin.

Base layer bottoms

These should be nice feeling base layers but they have no stretch, are stiff and picky. Plus they are kind of short. For men’s Large size bottoms too they are quite small compared to other brands. If I’m Able to return them, seeing as I ordered them early for Christmas, I will.

Sorry, no thanks.

This material, whatever it is, has almost ZERO FLEX. I bought these for bicycle commuting / wearing for factory work and they're NOT USABLE. The inflexibility causes 2 major problems: (1) inhibits range of motion on my legs (HUGE problem, even on the 3/4 pant); and (2) The legs gradually ride up so you have to keep pulling them back down (on the 3/4 pant); AND the waist rides read more down so you have to keep pulling it back up. Bought 2 separate pairs of these, and can't use either one - both have the same problems.

Very Poor

The other reviews say it all.

Holes everywhere after a few times worn

Do not buy these because the price is great. I have baselayers from every brand out there that have lasted for over a decade and these can't last through being worn 5x. If I could give zero stars I would. I never write negative reviews, but these were just so bad I couldn't keep silent. Don't waste your money. Oh, they run short which wasn't a problem for me but the fact they read more fall apart certainly was. Buy something better.

low-rise!

They have a low rise ie you feel your lower back is exposed (which you don't want on the slopes). The pair of 100% merino stoics that i have have a generous rise. returning.

Poorly made

They fit great, but are useless if you plan to use them more than a few times. They started to disintegrate after only a few washes, and I washed them exactly according to the instructions.

Little Tight

Definitely like having the snugger fit. I've had knee problems and having them snug on the leg is a nice feeling. I feel like my muscles engage faster if that makes sense.

Nice material but Cut is off

The Material is nice but the cut is weird. They run small, the cut is low in the back and the are almost knickers. If none of that bothers you then these are for you.

Strange length

These are a bizarre length. I purchased the 3/4 length for use when skiing so they did not interfere with my boots and the full length to wear under waders when fishing. The 3/4 length do not go past my knees, more like an extra long boxer brief. The full length is what i would consider appropriate length to wear when skiing as they fit about where my ski boot will stop. read more I am 6'2" 205 lbs with a large ass and quads, these do fit tight but do not restrictive. I have yet to wear while while skiing or being active but i think they will do the job. For those that have been holding out for the Stoic merino line to come back and are familiar with the feel of the previous products, this is not the quality you are accustomed. I absolutely love my old Stoic merino shirts, warm and soft. This polyester blend does not have the same feel.

Too thin

I didn't try them on since they seemed too thin for keeping me warm. Had to return.

Strange fit

Tight in legs but loose in waist. Very odd sizing. Also, these fit more like a 3/4 length base layer -- they only come down a little past halfway on my shins. I have a 32 inch waist and pretty normal legs (I run, bike, lift, etc. but by no means have huge quads). I thought about exchanging the large for a medium -- the waist would probably fit well -- but can't imagine having an read more even tighter fit on the legs. So just returning.
