SRAM GX 1x11 Rear Derailleur reviews and deals for sale
The SRAM GX group brings 11-speed drivetrains to the huddled masses with much of the technology from its higher end offerings. The GX1 1x11 Rear Derailleur is compatible with SRAM’s huge 10-42 11-speed cassette, as well, for the widest range of gears available.
The GX1 11-Speed Rear Derailleur packs in all of SRAM's top one-by engineering to ensure rear shifts are smooth, accurate, and predictable. Starting with the offset pulleys, the tall square-toothed X-Sync profiles work to positively engage and manage the chain better than traditional pulleys. These pulleys work in conjunction with the X-HORIZON's straight parallelogram design, which limits all movement to the horizontal axis, thus eliminating ghost shifting and reducing shifting force. SRAM's proven Roller Bearing Clutch is also present, which delivers maximum drivetrain stability by maintaining consistent tension on the chain — even while riding in the most demanding conditions. Finishing off the rear mechanism are sealed cartridge bearings and SRAM's handy Cage Lock design that keeps the derailleur locked out of the way for easy rear wheel installation/removal.

September 20, 2018Just Okay
This came standard on my Overdrive Pro. I recently rode an extremely muddy Chequamegon 40. Granted it was ridiculously muddy, but the derailleur stopped shifting at mile 20. I had to tap it with my shoe to get it to engage. I washed the bike off at the race and cleaned out the crud. I noticed that the roller clutch was barely turning and the same for the top pulley. I took them… read more off and gave them a good cleaning and lubed them up. Not the same feel as when it was new, but way better. The local shop wanted $40 for a new pulley set. I think I'll just get a nicer derailleur after this thing dies.

April 14, 2017Inexpensive and Quality
I have never had a single issue with this. Its nice to know if you smash one against a rock you aren't out $200. Why pay more for quality performance?

February 9, 2017Solid performance
I put this on my sisters Surly Krampus and have some feedback from her. "This is a great derailleur for the money. Paired with an X01 shifter, this thing is quick and precise. A perfect derailleur for an 11 speed setup."

August 8, 2016Save your money, go for GX
Honestly, the GX derailleur offers similar performance to XO1 and even XX1. I didn't really notice lmuch of a difference, but your wallet will. Used this to upgrade a broken XO1 derailleur on my bike using a cost-effective mentality. It works great and has held up well since. Great for replacing broken SRAM 1x11 derailleur or for doing your first 1x11 mountain setup.

May 15, 2016Price Meets Performance
As my first foray into a 1x11 drivetrain the SRAM GX rear derailleur definitely delivers. I've only had GX on my bike for a month but I have already put it through the wringer. From xc racing and alpine singletrack to dusty dry desert trails. Shifts are prompt, crisp, and clean. I look forward to having this derailleur on my bike for many miles to come.

February 20, 2018I damaged my long cage11 speed NX rear derailleur in a crash and am looking for a replacement and upgrade. Is the GX long cage11 speed a direct swap?
