Smith Attack MAG ChromaPop Sunglasses reviews and deals for sale

The Smith Attack MAG ChromaPop Sunglasses will keep your vision clear as you wait for the most opportune time to make your move to the front of the peloton. ChromaPop lenses filter out UV light as you ride through sun-drenched mountain passes, and they filter out the crossover of light for better color definition and a crisper field of view. And since the lenses are treated with a hydroleophobic finish, you won't have to worry about all that sweat that dripped from your brow during the ascent obstructing your vision as you get ready for a long and winding descent back to the valley floor.

Smith Attack ChromaPop Glasses

I had these glasses for just over 1 year before the right earpiece broke off the glasses. I have treated these glasses with ultimate care as I had read prior reviews about this very problem occurring. Unfortunately, I fell victim to the very same issue. I liked the glasses and fit but their durability is lacking, despite the care given. They have a lifetime warranty so I'll read more be pursuing that path of reimbursement through Smith. Hopefully, this return/replacement experience exceeds my expectations!

Worst sports glasses on the market

Didn't buy them from CC. Broke completely at the temple on my first ride when they came off my helmet at low speed. Too bad because I really like the lens and visibility. I'll never buy Smith sunglasses again.

Optics not great

These glasses are pretty decent, however the low light lens is not good. I see double when using them, some kind of weird glare. I would not have bought these again if I could do it over. Also the case is wonky and should be re-designed.

Too fragile. Cannot recommend.

Pros: Excellent visibility, chroma pop really works as advertised. No fog, even in muggy Alabama Great looks Mag system works great and is easy to use Cons: BOTH sets of lenses broke during normal use (ie, no crash, just single track mountain biking paired with a half shell) where the lenses meet the plastic clip where the arms attach First the good, these glasses fit read more me great, really increase contrast on the trail, refuse to fog up, look great, and come with two sets of lenses. So naturally, at first I was in love. Easily the best set of glasses I’ve owned prior to failure. However, first the low light lenses broke at the left temple where the MAG system meets the plastic lens. THEN, about 2 1/2 weeks later the same happened to the right side of the regular sunglass lens. I had already filed a warranty claim with Smith for the first set of lenses, and hadn’t heard back. So I updated my claim to include both sets. It’s been almost 4 weeks and I haven’t gotten any response whatsoever. The Coronavirus pandemic is currently ongoing, so I know they’re short staffed at the moment and unlikely to respond quickly. However, even if the lenses are replaced under warranty it doesn’t seem they’ll hold up either. There are two tiny, 1-2mm plastic bits just sort of stuck into the plastic that are supposed to hold the arm mechanism in place. And from what I’ve seen there’s no way that minute amount of plastic is up to the job. If the lenses are replaced and function well I will update this review. But until then, I would have to say these are an utter waste of $250ish unless you can afford to replace the lenses every 1-2 months. At $65 per replacement set, that is of course, ludicrous.

Smith glasses

I like the glasses very much. I agree with others; the case should be configured such that the glasses can be stored w/o having to take them apart. I do like the two different lens options. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase!

A++

I like these a lot because they offer great coverage, good fit for my medium-size face, ease of changing lenses and terrific clarity. This is my second pair of the Piv-lock lens interchangeable system and the changeover is quick and easy.

Great lenses weak attachment

The lenses are great but the earpiece popped off of mine on the first wear causing them to hit the ground and scratch. But they looked good for thirty minutes.

Insane Colors

The colors on these chromapop lenses are ridiculous! After taking them off, the world looks bland. The nose piece that pops in and out for different fits is also very cool and works great.

Smith Does It Again!

Super stoked on these glasses. I thought my Smith ski goggles made it easy to swap lenses but these are even easier. Essentially the arms clip on and off of the lens so you can swap them in seconds. No more struggling with glasses lenses and smudging them right before a ride. Great fit and mesh great with my POC helmet.

Not what I ordered

I ordered the Cinelli Colorway and was surprised to find that the red removable temple was paired with a yellow one. Why? They are supposed to be red. The photo on the website shows red. But the left temple is yellow. This makes no sense to me. The quality of the product seems very good and they fit nice. But I hate yellow so...I gonna send them back

Just what I wanted!

I was worried about getting this model at first since found a couple of reviews claiming them to be a little fragile and trending to crack after a few uses. But all my fears went away the moment I had them in my hands. They feel really solid and are perfect for all kind of rides, I got the Sun Red Mirror ones and the view is so clear on all conditions, when the sun is right in read more front of your face or when you are on areas with a lot of threes with less light. As a bonus a second pair of glasses is included on each package, for low light environments. They also come with a pretty cool case so you can carry them around without worrying about damage them. Frameless glass and magnetic arms are just very convenient. The only bad thing that I have found is that they trend to get a little foggy when you stop and your body temperature is high, but as soon as you start moving again all is back to normal.

Great glasses!

These glasses fit great, have great color and protect your eyes from wind while on the road. My eyes are typically very dry and my contacts will sometimes fall out or move around if i blink while they are dry. These glasses keep my eyes out of the wind and keep my contacts in place. It fits great with my Smith helmet. I love the different lenses that you get with these!

Trail Partners!

These glasses offer everything I would want for riding, including light weight, a comfortable nose piece, and a big lens that provides plenty of coverage. Personally the lowered brow design is great, and a chromopop lens is a must! Love the high color definition.

Great sunglasses for the trail!

I've been cycling for years, mostly road, and have exclusively used Oakley sunglasses in one form or another. So of course I try their vented RadarLock Trail Prizm sunglasses when I turned to mountain biking. After a few uses, I felt they were a bit too dark for the trail, and despite being vented, still fogged up. Enter the Smith Attack sunglasses. I exchanged the Oakley's read more for the Smith's. I knew you got two pairs of lenses with the Smith's, which includes a ChromaPop Contrast Rose lens, very similar to the Chromapop Smith goggles I use for low light skiing. Wow, what an improvement in light transmission and visibility! And the Contrast Rose still help cut the bright glare of the sun when I was in open field. And despite not being vented, these sunglasses fogged up less than the vented Oakleys! I am so impressed, I want to buy a pair for my son if Smith can do these in prescription form. Here's hoping. I recently purchased a Smith helmet and of course, the fit with these sunglasses is fantastic! Great sunglasses, and the magnetic Pivlock is literally a snap to use. No instructions necessary. The only con I can think of is the case. I found you do have to take the arms off to store in the included case, and the arms do bounce around in the case, too. Would've been nicer if you could just leave the arms on folded. But that's a relatively small nit for such a great pair of glasses! Highly recommended!

Awesome shades for riding!

I've been in the Attacks for a few weeks now and love them. They are light and fit great. Chromapop is the real deal and helps me see clearer with less eye strain. The real benefit however is the new lens/temple interface. So easy and quick. No more forcing lenses into super tight temples. These things rock.

Currently have Radarlock Path glasses. I love these glasses because while riding, I don’t get that dry eye feeling from wind getting behind the lens. Can anyone comment on how these are on the road at speed?

Do these come with clear lenses or just the regular lens and a rose lens?
