Cozy Socks

These socks are cozy as hell. My first pair of the heavy-weight smartwool socks. They're a little too thick for me to wear with both my hiking and casual boots comfortably so I generally wear them around the house with slippers. So definitely a bigger fan of the medium weight sock but these are quality too.

I've had my fair share of wooly socks. These are the best. The fit, fabric, and function all exceed most — if not all — other brands I've tried. Runs small

Smartwool, please manufacture more sizes. I bought size M, because I wear size 7.5 male, but it is on the small side. I think it will perfectly fit size 7. The sizing guide says it is for 6-8.5. How on earth, will it fit 8.5? Really funny. Otherwise, it feels good.

Have several pairs you can't wear these out . They do shrink a little over time but still the best socks I have tried for cold weather .

Love the sock

I love this sock for skiing. Keeps me warm and doesn't rub causing blisters. May not be the perfect sock but it works!

Had high expectations ...

These work well alone walking around my ranch house, which has concrete floors and is cold in the winter. I tried them alone with a goretex boot and wasn’t too impressed with moisture control but I think my expectations were set way too high. I don’t think any sock can do it all. I do really like them with smartwool hikeliner crew socks (thin smartwool liners). Love to sleep in them when it’s cold. Keeps my little piggies toasty!

I love Smartwool, and you can't beat a new pair of them. I wanted the warmest, thickest ones, and I think I found them!

Toasty

These socks meet the high quality standard expected from Smartwool. They keep your feet warm and don't start to stink after a long day of use. The small size was a good fit (typical shoe size 7.5 US). Only downside I see is that they become a bit less fluffy as you wear them, kind of matt together which might compromise a bit of insulation. Altogether, great socks though!

I wear a women's size 6.5 shoe. Would a small be too loose? I don't want to have extra fabric bunching up in my boots.

Would these work well inside fishing waders in the winter? I've had a few pairs of SmartWool in the past, but they have either shrunken up or gotten stretched out. I haven't found a pair that doesn't do one or the other. I need a pair for winter fishing as well as a pair for summer fishing with potential for a few miles and full days on my feet.
