Must Have

These are my go-to bottom base layer for any cold temp high output activity. The material feels great on the skin and is the perfect weight for colder temps. Durability has been great so far after multiple washes. Highly recommended!

Wanted these to work

The material weight and feel of these was awesome. I so wanted them to work, but the leg length and tightness of the opening just didn't work. The fit through the seat and thighs was great. Maybe I just need to do more calf raises.

Solid Base Layer

Toasty, just these under a shell (11 degrees) and no problem – fit is true to size.

So soft and warm!

I usually wear a medium, I have a 32" waist but I think to go with small might have been the right way to go with these. Aside from size, the weight and feel of these is amazing! They are a good mid-weight, so great to layer with for cold days, or just these for more mild days. I use these touring also, they breathe well and don't get damp when you get sweaty. Looking at getting read more a 250 weight top now!

very comfy but...

They are super comfy. I put then on and it felt amazing. O ly issue is I purchased these as a base layer under my pants or jeans but since they dont ride all the way down your leg, once you put on jeans or pants this item will also slide up with your pants while you put your pants up. I thought the very bottom if the baselayer would be more snug and tight on my ankle but it is loose read more on the bottom. I just need to get a baselayer that goes all the way down the leg to the ankles. But I would def use this around the house or just in general cause of how comfy they were. Also as for the fit I ordered a large and medium. I have thick thighs and thick ankles and have asome extra on my but due to working out. And large was to big for me since I wanted it very tight as a base layer. I was good with a medium and it fit tight. I Have a 31 inch waist with a small gut. So if you want it rtight around legs get a size smaller. If not it will fit fine.

Very satisfied, very warm

Great product feel. Has been a good fit for me. Got the medium, fits true to size. Excited to get some use out of it this season.

My go-to for skiing

Great baselayer with the perfect length to not fall below the ski boot line and cause any unnecessary friction. Kept me warm with a relatively soft and lightweight material.

A Solid Go-To Baselayer

According to the size chart, I should be a medium but opted for the small for a better fit. The length could be an inch longer, but still fits under the top of your sock, ensuring it stays in place. Provides just enough warmth and plenty of comfort during your day on the hill.

So warm

Maybe a bit to warm, only used once since I have been going lighter on my base layers. That is what it is designed for though.

Fantastic

A bit looser than a typical base layer, but that is exactly how I like my layers. Haven't washed them yet but assume they will shrink a touch. Look great, super warm, and comfy.

Great again by Smartwool

Smartwool does a great job combining warmth, breathability, and some sweat wicking. These have been great so far. Really enjoy the 3/4 length to keep a wrinkle fee surface between the boots and socks.

Warmer than expected

Thought it was gonna to be too thin when it finally arrived in mail, but it's keeping me plenty warm but I'm not sweating in them either. Length is perfect when wearing ski boots.

So comfy!

Material is soft and wicking. I wore them on a cold day (10 degrees) under an insulated shell and got all sweaty with exercise but they remained dry. Pants are the perfect length to tuck into the top of my ski socks. Extra space in the butt for that snowboard squat. :) Love these!

3/4 length = great idea

I got these for my Dad. He's been skiing in them in New England since Christmas and loving them. He especially loves the 3/4 length so they don't interfere with his ski boots. The size chart suggested XL, and they fit great.

Quality Base Layer

Comfortable, warm, quality merino wool product. I have worn them several times in temps ranging from -10 to 35 as a base under my Marmot Mantra non insulated shell. I remained comfortable and warm from low activity to high. Would definitely purchase again and probably will.

Never Seem to Overheat

I am a big fan of these 3/4 cut long underwear. I bought these specifically for cold weather mountain biking and cold weather cragging and bouldering. They are nice and don't get in the way of high socks, or stick down when I cuff my pants climbing. They are not too heavy even though they are smartwool heaviest style, and are very comfortable. The one thing I wish smartwool read more would do it add a little elastic to their baselayers so that they don't ride up easily. Once you stretch out the cuff it tends to stay that way until you wash them again. Other than that they are top notch
