Good product, runs a little large

These socks are nice, but I thought they ran large. I have size 11 feet and ordered a Large. They fit my feet but have a large ankle which stays open and allows pebbles and dirt to fill up the sock. I can also buy gravel guards to put on top of these or buying the more expensive versions that have built in gravel guards.

So far so good

I haven't taken these in the water yet, but my initial impression is that they are well constructed and fit well. My only apprehension is the seems may rub, as they are right on the side of my toe, but just walking around the house in them I have not had any issues.

Stocking stuffer for the fisherwoman/man

Gave these to my dad for a Christmas gift this year. Much more exciting than a normal pair of socks! Here is what he had to say "After seven years of hard use in both fresh and salt water, my first pair of Simms Neoprene Wading Socks finally had to be retired. They are so comfortable and durable that I had to order another pair of the same. I use them inside my flats boots in read more salt and inside my wading boots on the river. I often wear them all day and have never had any problems with blisters or even hot spots. I have tried Simms yarn wading socks and prefer the neoprene because of their comfort, ease of on/off and the fact they clean up and dry quickly."

Winter Bike Commuter

I snagged a pair of these to put over my regular socks for wet and snowy days bike commuting to the office. They are low profile enough that they (barely) fit into my regular cycling shoes, and the neoprene keeps my feet warm and dry. Definitely one of the more cost-effective ways to DIY your own winter boots.

Great Socks

I've only worn these a couple times but so far so good! Just needed something for cooler days while wet wading. Can't speak for long-term durability yet but definitely happy with my purchase so far.

Excellent Service and Great Product

I prefer to wet wade and these were exactly what I wanted. True to fit and comfortable to wear. Hard to beat Simms products. The best part was the customer service from Backcountry.com. I needed these shipped to my destination and Amy was fantastic. Got them there as promised and even threw in a bonus "thank you" gift. Will definitely be back to buy in the future.

Keeps the piggies warm

Sometimes it’s too hot to shrug on a pair of waders, but the water is so cold that your feet start to ache. These allow you to wet wade while keeping your feet warm enough to enjoy the experience. Well made and a good fit.

Does the trick!

Got these for my dad for his Birthday. He needed a pair of insulated socks for his winter kayaking out in the Lake Erie tributaries. He keeps his feet nice and warm in these guys.

Good pair

You really can't go wrong with Simms products. These booties are super comfortable and hold up well. This is my second pair, the first pair last 3 summers of heavy fishing before I lost them, so now I'm back again.

Keep your woofers warm!

These are great! I wear them for summer wading with my keens and for rafting. They seem to be a little thin when you first get them but once you are in the water they do the trick and I can be in the water much longer with them. Great value and should be in every fishermans gear closet that doesn't want to wear waders when its 90+ outside.

A Summer Necessity.

These are perfect for wet wading when the weather's hot but the water's still cold. They are thinner than some of the other options out there, but that's what I was looking for.

Essential

The Simms Neoprene Wading Socks are my go to, for wet wading. I also like to wear them as an addition to my waders, for extra warmth. They have come in handy several times.

Warmer than not wearing them

These are great for summer fishing when it's too hot for waders, or for fishing small streams where you want to keep your toes from freezing but won't be deep enough to justify standing around in waders all day. As others have said, they're not super warm and I'd prefer a sock with a little more insulation, but they're certainly better than nothing.

Great socks, needs a little more warmth.

They definitely get the job done, but they do run on the bigger side. I definitely recommend adding a layer just for a little more warmth, but it's worth the money to get the type of support these provided.

They do the job

Bought these for canyoneering as well as fly fishing. Hiked the full length Zion Narrows with them and they were worth every penny. They keep your feet from freezing and also protect them from rocks and various other annoying objects. They are also great for winter fly fishing when the water is very cold and you want another layer, or when you fishing in warmer weather and don't read more want to wear waders, but still want to wear boots. I wear a size 12.5 shoe and purchased the XL. I probably should have gone with the large instead for a snug fit.

Specific purpose

These are great for wet wading if ur wearing sandals or something like the vapor. They do a good job at keeping gravel etc out. They are only 2.5mm tho, so don't expect a ton of warmth if the water is cold. Used them last in pebble creek in ynp, water was about 55 and I was ok, but wouldn't go much lower than that. They come up to just about the bottom of ur calf
