Shimano SH-RP9 Wide Cycling Shoe - Men's reviews and deals for sale

If you have wide feet, you don't have to put up with the often all-too-narrow cycling shoe. Adjusting the buckles, dials, straps, and even adding custom orthotics can help to an extent, but if the toe box is too small, most of your ride will be spent pedaling in pain. Hooray for the Shimano SH-RP9 Wide Cycling Shoes, allowing you to slide your boats into a comfortable and efficient cycling shoe.

The wider design obviously ensures that your hoofs aren't under extreme pressure, allowing proper circulation otherwise, they share all of the other designs that make the SH-RP9s such an excellent shoe. A light carbon composite outsole is optimized for stiffness at 10 of 12 on Shimano's stiffness scale, yet still remains comfortable on long rides. An external heel cup provides stability and keeps the rear of the shoe anchored to your foot, no matter how hard you turn the pedals in anger.

The supple microfiber synthetic leather upper is perforated for excellent venting and gives you all the benefits of natural leather in a lighter and more user friendly package. The shoes' refined fit comes courtesy of the micro-adjustable Boa dial with hidden wire routing offering infinite adjustments for a glove-like fit. On-the-fly, one-handed adjustments are a reality with secure locking and a fast release. The lower hook-and-loop strap is precisely positioned to relieve pressure atop the foot.

Very Wide!

I have ridiculously wide feet and have suffered trying to find shoes wide enough my whole life. I gave these a shot and the toebox is wonderful. Its the first shoe I've worn where I feel I have enough space. Shimano says to add 2 sizes to your typical, but that seems to be excessive. The shoes were a bit too long and the shoe dug in around my ankles. I've returned and will be getting read more a size smaller. (so 1 size above normal)

Looked great, too tight

I wear Sidi shoes in 48 Mega. I figured these in 48 Wide would fit about the same - nope. The toe box is really tight. They fit like what I imagine Sidi narrows would fit. The toe box is that narrow. Which is a shame; these are really good looking shoes. They also look really well made.
