Shimano Quick Link For 11-Speed Chain reviews and deals for sale

Road cyclists and mountain bikers have relied on aftermarket solutions for quickly fixing their Shimano 11-speed chains for years, as Shimano never officially released a quick link for making repairs without the use of tools. However, all of that has changed with the introduction of the Shimano Quick Link For 11-Speed Chain, which allows you to quickly fix a broken chain without carrying heavy tools on the road and trail.

To fix your broken chain, simply join the broken chain ends by snapping the quick link together in the intended direction (there's an arrow direction indicator) and applying a bit of pressure from a turn of the cranks. Voila! You're now ready to get back in the saddle on the road or trail. Please note, Shimano doesn't recommend reusing their Quick Links. Each package contains two quick links (that's four separate halves), so you can keep a spare handy after you've made a road or trailside repair to your chain.

Better Than Pins

Keep a few in your flat kit and a few in your workshop. Sure they're expensive compared to chain pins, but they're so much easier. Oh, invest in a pair of master link pliers and keep a length of string in your flat kit to open the link.

Always have an extra one of these

There's nothing worse than ending a ride over a broken chain. With a quick link, you can be back on the trail within minutes. The link is super easy to install and require no tools to get in place. I recommend having at least one of these on you at all times when riding.

great for the trail pack

If you have a shimano chain and dont want to deal with the normal shimano pin on the side of the trail, this is what is needed, I actually choose to link my chain with these over their normal chain pin now.

Easy on, easy off.

Makes swapping your chain (or repairing a broken one mid-ride) much easier. Not much more to be said.

Master & Servent

Yeah, sure ... the proper way to repair a Shimano chain is with a new pin, but sometimes you don't have that option. This master link will help you get back on the road if you break a chain mid-ride. Not the easiest thing to open and close without a pair of master link pliers (like the Park Master Link Pliers item # PAR004Q), it can be done ... and will help prevent that dreaded read more phone call to a loved one to come pick you up.
