Big enough and tough enough for the job

I wasn't sure whether my largest backpack (Osprey Xenith 88L) would fit until it arrived and I tried it, so in case anyone else is wondering, here it is inside a 65L Big River bag with the requisite three flap turns and snapped closed. Nothing larger than this backpack would fit, but obviously any smaller backpack would fit. Note, however, that the backpack is empty in this photo,… read more so the backpack alone takes the bulk of the space--which isn't a big deal for me because I'll store most of my stuff inside the hull of my packraft, but the backpack itself wouldn't fit there--but the bag is also bloated in this pic with some unnecessary air, so it does have some space to add a few things in addition to the backpack. Another thing I wondered but couldn't find anywhere prior to purchase: The tie-down loops take up to about 1.5" straps without having to fold them over.

3 Bags, all good

I got 3 of these Big River Dry Bags recently for our 5 day Boundary Water trip. 1 20L bag and two 8L bags. All three bags performed flawlessly. We had submersion when the canoe tipped, and we had soaking through rainstorms and general canoe activities. Everything inside - gear and down sleeping bags - stayed bone dry.

Dry

Keeps things dry while on the river or in a slot canyon. Well made and should last a long time.

Does the Job

I've used these on two canyoneering trips so far and they have done great. Full submersion and dry as a bone inside. Pretty burly as well so I expect to get quite a bit of use out of them.

Does what it says and keeps everything dry. Simple and easy solution to a nagging issue.

Wet 'n' wild

This bag worked great! Took this bag with me while kayaking on the colorado and used it to house my camera and phone (so...pretty important that they don't get wet). I had never used a dry bag before, let alone this one so I was a little nervous at first. But, it worked great! My stuff stayed dry as a bone and lived to see another day. Big and Green

I took this bag on a 3-day trip down the Colorado in Westwater Canyon. I bought this bag instead of a PVC one with the hopes that I will enjoy the lighter weight construction for pack rafting one day. I have no illusions though that this bag will be neither as waterproof or as durable as a PVC bag.
