Love scarpa shoes. The only problem with these for ME was the color; teal more than lagoon. I was looking for a different color.

March 1, 2015One of the best shoes in my life
I've get known about this model from a russian fashion blogger and decided that it can be good multipurposal footwear . So they haven't disappoint me - for my feet, accustomed to shoes-that-for-the-first-mohth-turn-feet-into-bloody-callus-and-maybe-than-runs-a-little-bit-better - so, for my feet Mojito is divine. I bought the same model for my husband. Instead of having the opposite… read more foot structure (I have high leg lift abd wide feet, he has nearly flat feet and narrow feet) we both wear these shoes almost everywhere: usable laces enable to adapt shoe true to specific foot. The shoe itself is very comfortable. Shoes are true to size, if you measure your foot in cm and corellate it with Scarpa size chart - we acted this way.

January 31, 2014Didn't get the chance to wear them
I was very exited to order them. Based on the size chart and others reviews, I ordered a 39 size (I am a 71/2 or an 8). Well, they were too big, had to return. Being from Canada, shipping is not free, so I am not willing to gamble again with the size (I estimate 38 will fit me, but I am not ready to throw another 50+$ in order to find out). Too bad, I already pictured myself biking… read more with them!

March 29, 2013Super Comfortable!
These shoes rock for approaches and low grade climbing! They are comfortable, which is great when you are hauling 35 pounds worth of gear up a 10 degree incline. The rubber is great, but not as good as the stealth rubber. You can still climb tons of easy stuff in them, though. They are also stylish in some of the colors (even for a dude). Overall, this is a great approach shoe for… read more everything from long approaches to easy pitches. (By the way, if you've read my reviews before, you would have realized that I'm a dude. But I'm a small dude so I have to choose women's shoes instead of men's sometimes. So now you know why.)

February 4, 2013Skip them if you have problem feet
I read all the reviews about how comfortable these are...how they can be worn all day. Well there are very few shoes that I can wear all day and be comfortable in, so I decided to try these. What I found was that these provide no arch support at all, and very little cushion. They were super comfy while driving to the desert, but once I got out to hike up a very rocky, but short… read more mile-long trail to a mine, my feet were killing me. And they still hurt the next day. My feet literally felt bruised. Too bad, because I love the look of these, but I can only use them as a driving shoe, not a walking shoe, which is pretty useless to me. If you can wear barefoot shoes or minimalist shoes, then these may work for you.

December 26, 2012The Pope would love these!
These shoes are amazingly comfortable. I typically wear an 8.5 or 9 (lean towards 9 for athletic endeavors), so I purchased size 40.5. They are well cushioned, yet supportive, and made extremely well. There is plenty of room in the toe but still have a slim look and feel - not bulky and wide like some shoes. I wear them mostly for bumming around, and get comments all the time asking… read more where they can get them. I wouldn't hesitate wearing them on a rugged hike. The Pope would envy my red (Parrot color) shoes...if envy wasn't a sin. I like them so much, I bought a pair for my husband, and he feels the same about the shoes.

December 14, 2012Nice shoe!
Great fit, awesome color and they look unique. I think they are almost true to size. I am either a 6 or 6.5 W shoe size and I ordered the 6 which is almost perfect.

May 27, 2011Good to wear and good looking shoes!
I loved my shoes right away. Have used them for a few long one-day hikes. They are really light and comfortable. Very good when walking on paths and have a good grip on large stones. However, they are not very stiff and I would not wear them in terrain that is hard to go over. Then higher and stiffer ankle shoes are probably better.

June 20, 2010BEST SHOES EVER!!!
I haven't had a chance to take them out hiking, but they are the *BEST*, most comfortable shoes ever. I love them so much!!!

April 27, 2010Just think my baby blue Scarpa's are amazing!!!
I absolutely love my Scarpa's. They are the most comfortable shoes, I use them for walking, for workouts, even my trainer is a bit jealous! I am thinking of another color. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone who wants comfort and compliments!

December 8, 2009LOVE EM!
I LOVE MY PINK SCARPA SHOES! These are incredibly well-made shoes that you CANNOT beat at a price of less than $100!!!! They look very cool design wise (of course - they're Italian!) , are comfortable, and provide great arch support (an important point to many folks). And Backcountry's shipping was plenty quick!

Can these shoes be waterproofed in any way? If not, how much rain can they withstand? I have always used waterproof walking shoes for light hiking and for travel/sightseeing, but am considering giving these a shot to for when my Vasque Sundowners are overkill...but would I regret it when out all day on a rainy day in St. Petersburg?

How much volume is there in the forefoot of this shoe? I have both a wide foot and a pretty high volume forefoot. To give you a hint I can't wear Keen's or those Vibram 5 toed shoes due to the lack of forefoot volume.
