Salomon XA Elevate Trail Running Shoe - Women's reviews and deals for sale
Salomon didn't set out to reinvent the wheel with its Women's XA Elevate Trail Running Shoe. Instead, it took what worked with is popular XA Pro and shaved a few grams from the equation for a more lightweight feel—without sacrificing protection in the process. The most noticeable change is the Elevate's low-profile upper, which utilizes Salomon's tried-and-true SensiFit support system, albeit hidden beneath a layer of breathable mesh. Salomon's Advanced Chassis system also makes an appearance to lock your heel into place for added security during long, technical descents. A decoupled TPU rock plate protects your foot from root- and rock-covered trails and allows your foot to flex naturally for a feel similar to your favorite road running shoe.

March 7, 2020Favorite go-to shoes
I’ve had these for almost a year now and wear them for hiking, running, and working in the bike shop. I have extremely picky feet due to a bone break that didn’t heal properly. These shoes are the most comfortable that I’ve found in many many years. They are lightweight compared to other trail shoes, yet stiff enough to give extra support over rocky or rooted terrain. There… read more is also enough cushion in the sole that I can stand on my feet for 4-5 hours at the shop without my back bothering me. I hate tying shoe laces so the cinching system works great for me.

March 20, 2019Too stiff for running
I really wanted to love these shoes. I have been buying and loving Salomon trail runners for years (multiple pairs of the X-mission, sense pro 1 and 2 series) and never been disappointed until now. I have well over a hundred hiking and running miles in these shoes and I just cannot get them to break in. The sole continues to feel stiff which makes it feel like there is minimal… read more momentum transfer and an inefficient gait. On my first trail run of the year in them, a gentle 7 mile jog, I got shin splints, which I haven't had since I was over-training for a marathon years ago. I will keep them as strictly backpacking shoes because I think the stiff sole will be better suited for that, but I won't be running in them anymore.

August 6, 2018Sister loves 'em
My sister had been eyeing these so I decided to get them for her as a b-day gift. Initial feedback is that she loves them. She mostly uses them for trail running around the Jackson, WY area... probably a mix of road and trail Shes says they're super comfortable and she loves the bold "nasturtium" color.

March 26, 2018XA Elevate - Grip and stability
I work for Salomon, and truly love these shoes. I first tried these shoes on a long, rocky, run in the Wasatch (with lots of scrambling), and didn't feel a single poke of a rock. Checkout the video for more details!
