Salomon S/Lab MTN Alpine Touring Boot reviews and deals for sale

Salomon's S/Lab MTN Ski Boot is lightweight option for aggressive skiers who are looking to crush the climbs and ski steep, technical lines. With a stiff 120 flex to drive big planks down powder-filled bowls and tight chutes, and narrow, performance-first last, this boot can certainly charge, but its low weight and impressive 47-degree range of motion in walk mode means you'll be setting the skinner after every storm, and heading back up for more after every descent.

A Grilamid shell maintains the boot's stiffness without weighing you down, and a carbon spine and Pebax cuff provide rebound, stability, and impressive power transfer for a boot that's so light on the uphill. Salomon's signature Custom Shell HD and foam liner are both easy to thermo-mold for a precise, custom fit that's comfortable on all-days tours and keeps your foot secure for control on the descents. A rubber, rockered sole ensures a natural stride and reliable grip on those inevitable, icy bootpacks up steep ridges to access that line you've had your eye on all season long.

Soo comfy and lightweight

This is my first pair of ski touring boots. I've had a Salomon Quest Max 100 before, so can only compare this two models, but the sLab are soo good in terms of weight (for a boot that has the performance of the downhill boot). The 2-buckle system is awesome. The power strap could be longer, but this is a minor thing. Walk mode is a real thing here. I bet you could wear the as your read more regular shoes. The only cons of these boots I could fine so far is their durability. Because of the lightweight materials that, there are a lot of scratches, both on the outer shell and on the pivot. But I guess they will still last many seasons.

Best Boot in the Business

As a professional athlete and backcountry ski guide, my boot is everything. I work for EXUM Mountain Guides, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Alpine Guides, and Ice Axe Expeditions internationally. This is the most comfortable, high performance boot I have ever worn. It provides strong downhill performance in an alpine touring boot capacity. Easy to put on and easy to take off and read more excellent, easy-to-use features for switching from touring to alpine skiing. The boots are made well and last a long time. I've skied everyone from the Grand Teton to Greenland to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to High Mountain Heli. Light yet strong -- that's the ultimate goal. They fit true to size.

Great All Around Boot

The S/LAB MTN Boot is the closest thing to a do everything boot there is. Great touring ability while holding its own on the downhill. I use this boot on everything from big ski mountaineering days to hard charging powder days on the resort. If you only want one boot, this one is for you.
