Sage Click Series Fly Reel reviews and deals for sale
Short of losing the reel altogether and taking the Tenkara route, the Sage Click Series Fly Reel has to be the easiest (and most attractive) way to simplify your trout setup. Its lightweight, fully machined aerospace grade aluminum will balance well with your lightweight rod, while the click and pawl drag will take you back to the days when fly fishing was strictly a top-water pursuit. The beautiful thing about the Click is the combination of a click and pawl drag and large arbor, which combines that classic click and pawl feel with the quick line retrieve of a modern, large arbor reel. The large arbor also provides more area to palm the rim, so you can apply the perfect amount of pressure to those fish that would rather run you up and down the river than surrender to your net. Sage built this reel to last a lifetime with a hard anodized surface that will withstand year after year of abuse and a cold-forged and tempered aluminum that's strong and rigid, so you won't have to feel like you need to baby it, unlike that old click and pawl reel you caught your first fish with.

This reel is great. My son uses it for his 6'9 3wt and his 10ft 4wt he says he loves the way it clicks and how lightweight it is. He also says it is nice to have a reel that is compatible with 4 out of his 5 rods excluding his 7wt

July 19, 2016Great Light Reel
-I just received my Sage Click 3/4/6 Weight. I was surprised how light it was. The slick system uses a super light plastic spring. I question the longevity of this... I guess time will tell. -Since this is a click reel, don't expect drag. The spool is exposed for palm dragging when fighting a fish. I prefer the simple design for my light rig. The super plus with this rig is the… read more amazing click sound. It feels well balanced on my TFO BVK with Rio intouch perception line. The arbor is large so it looks and feels great!

Have had this reel for years and used it on my 9ft 4 wt Sage VXP. It balances perfectly, looks amazing, and fishes great. The Click and Paw drag system purss through your hands when you are letting a fish run. The overall simplicity of this reel is what makes it so reliable and strong. With so little pieces in motion you can expect this reel to really last you almost forever.… read more Also remember, go about 20% below the required backing amount to make sure you don't crowd the reel once you throw your fly line on.

August 21, 2013Soooo light but strong!
I matched this with a ultra light and what balance. This reel is so light and the color is awesome. Click and Pawl is great for not letting your line run and spool up. Very easy to use the Palming rim to adjust drag the human way....with your hand!

I absolutely love fishing this reel. Slapped on my Sage XLT 3wt, this is the perfect set up for small water and dry fly fishing. With no real drag system it forces you to play the fish the old school guys would, wish your hand. Adds another dimension of fun and gives ya a little old school credibility...heh. Regardless, it's super light weight and fun to catch fish on.
