Not enough history yet

Just added this to my 4 wt sage rod and a hatch reel. I like it so far seems to cast really well and presents well in a dry situation

Great line!

Pairs very well with my TFO BVK fast action. I have no problem sending a nymph sailing 20 yards with this guy and I can softly float a dry down with ease. It is all very intuitive with this line, great purchase!

Solid

This line rocks. I definitely recommend to anyone. Compliments my fast action rod nicely.

Good Fly line makes a huge difference

I love this line, I use it on my Vapen black 6wt rod and it is a stunning line. Very good line to compliment fast action rods. I've mainly used this line on the Provo and Weber rivers and it was perfect by my standards. I am excited to take it to a larger river.

Go-To Fly Line

I rigged this line for my fast action Vapen rod. RIO makes quality lines and this is no exception. I primarily fish small/medium size rivers and this is perfect for those conditions. Highly recommend if you fish in similar conditions with a fast action rod.

Dreamy casting

I recently upgraded to the Rio Grand Fly Line and I am glad I did. This line complements the fast action of my Sage One 9ft 5w rod. I typically fish small to medium sized rivers for all species of trout and this line performs exceptionally well on fast action rods for those conditions.

Awesome line

I replaced my SA GPX with this line and I like it quite a bit better. It shoots faster and I can get more line out there with fewer false casts. It's easy to pick up 50+ ft of line and throw it back out there with no false casts. Also, leaders seem to dig into the loop connection less than the GPX (removing a heavily loaded leader was damn near impossible). I also like the dualtone read more marking system a lot. My rod is a med-fast action. I almost got the Gold, but my local fly shop talked me into this one.

Go-to trout line

I use this line most often since I have a fast-action Sage VXP and fish mid-size rivers for trout. The line floats great and is easy to cast. This is a great line for the price.

Great on a fast rod!

If you're fishing a medium sized river with a fast rod, this line is great. Definitely helps to load the rod at shorter distances. I use this for primarily double nymph rigs and streamer fishing on the Weber and Provo and have no complaints. Not the most delicate presentation out there, but if you're throwing a line 30ft or less on a super fast rod, you still get the energy from read more the rod. If you're routinely casting longer distances with a fast rod on a lake, I'd go with the Rio Gold as your more standard line.

great for nymphing or big bugs

This line is a great nymph, streamer, or big dry line due to it being a half weight heavy. It also loads faster action rods great. I like the camo/tan variant.

line'd for success

Spending a lot of money on fly line is always difficult. Why do you need a line costing $75? Don't they all do the same thing? Well, to answer both, the $75 is well worth it and no, all lines don't perform the same. A nice rod/reel combo is great, but is nothing without a line that won't do what you need it to do. When you only have an hour to fish your favorite hole after read more work you'll be psyched to know that you've got everything you need, including the ever important fly line of champions.

Silky Smooth!

I have this Rio Grand on two reels and I love it! The line seems to work great in all conditions, wind, cold, etc., and is very durable. I would definitely recommend this line. You cannot go wrong with Rio Grand!
