The thrill of a high-speed descent is definitely lessened when you can’t really make out the difference between a giant pothole, an oil slick, and a shadow, but POC’s DO Half Blade AVIP Sunglasses are designed to take the uncertainty out of highway-speed hills. The big secret is actually a combination of smaller secrets, starting with the frameless bottom section, which improves lower and peripheral vision so you can see more and be more comfortable doing it.
The two included lenses are also specially tinted to increase road contrast, and they’re treated with anti-fog and moisture-repellant coatings to ensure clarity in all conditions. Rubber inserts at the temples team up with an adjustable rubber nosepiece to keep the Half Blade glued to your face and, like all AVIP products, these shades are seriously high-vis to help you stand out in the peloton and on the shoulder.

I got these as I have converted to POC helmets and wanted a matching set of sunglasses. Just as happy with these as I am with the helmets, quality and comfort excellent. Nice choice of two lenses.

I have theses with both the rose and reflective silver lenses. I've never felt the need for more lenses based on light conditions with just the two. They have polarizing looks, but I've always been a fan. Great pair of shades!

Unfortunately you only get two lenses, despite the fact that the tech specs seem to indicate otherwise. Also, there is no truly clear lens. The factory website for the product states that it comes with an "extra clear" lens, but customer service at the NA distributor confirmed they do not make an extra clear lens suitable for dark conditions. The closest they have is for low… read more light conditions. That is the case for all eyewear with POC, not just this product. So as nice as the frames are, don't bother unless you only intend to ride in daylight conditions.
