Petzl Swift RL Headlamp reviews and deals for sale
At 3.5oz, the Swift RL Headlamp is Petzl's lightest, smallest light with Reactive Lighting. Catching attention from trail runners, ski mountaineers, and mountain bikers, Reactive Lighting analyzes ambient light to automatically adjust the headlamp's brightness to the amount necessary in any given moment. It brightens when you're staring down an extremely dark rappel and dims on sunset runs up sharp switchbacks or as the sun rises during dawn patrol or alpine starts.

November 15, 2020Excellent headlamp
I've used this head lamp for about a month now and it has been wonderful. I love that th's rechargable and the brightness is easily adjusted. The strap also fits quite comfortably and doesn't require a lot of adjusting. I've used it for morning trail running since the recent time change and this winter plan to use it for nordic skiing. This is a wonderful product and I look forward… read more to using it for years to come!

June 24, 2020Excellent Headlamp
The PETZL SWIFT RL greatly exceeded my expectations. The 900 lumen lamp is perfect for lighting up even the darkest of trails, illuminating all the potential hazards that may otherwise cut my run short. The reactive lighting works wonderfully for running the city streets, automatically adjusting for any available ambient light. This is another fantastic product from PETZL.

December 16, 2019Great Head Lamp
Living in Alaska I am always on the hunt for the perfect headlamp.. I was skeptical of the reactive lighting feature anticipating that I would mainly use it on the standard mode but I have pleasantly surprised how fast and accurately it adjusts. The only times it's been thrown off so far is in snow/rain, reflective street signs, and car headlights. I wish it didn't dim when it's… read more snowing, but the other ones aren't a problem. It doesn't throw out a direct beam per se, but does have a great reach with a flooding aspect around a centered point; it's great for the trails when I'm not sure what's around the corner as it really lights up the woods. I've never used it for more than a few hours but it doesn't dim over time like my BD spot 325. It's very comfortable, easy to adjust, and I like the fact the power/adjust button has a projection so I can feel it with gloves on. Really the only downside is the 6 hours it takes to recharge it... it's painfully slow. That said it's become my go-to headlamp and I'd buy another without hesitation.

December 10, 2019Amazing Headlamp
Used this to trail run downhill in rocky terrain at night. Lit up the trail with ease and stayed in place on my forehead. I've never had to use it for more than 3-4 hours at a time, but for those purposes the battery has held up really well. It's also just comfortable. Best headlamp on the market in my opinion.

November 17, 2019Bright and Light
Awesome little headlamp. If you want a really bright headlamp without the secondary battery pack then this is the headlamp for you. It’s bright enough to go running with yet still really lightweight. Would definitely suggest this headlamp to anyone looking for something bright and lightweight

November 15, 2019Incredibly bright, incredibly light
At 900 lumens and only weighing 100 grams, the Swift is incredibly bright, incredibly bright, and quite durable. What took me a while to get used to was the Reactive Lighting tech in this headlamp. I used this light for dark early morning runs, and found the brightness fluctuating from my surroundings a lot more that I preferred. I like to keep it at a regularly constant high lumen… read more when running on the street or trail to see what's ahead of me, but found that it was switching to a much dimmer setting when I would prefer it to be brighter. This caused me to turn it on and off again to reset it to my preferred brightness setting. The only other issue I ran into it was the charging time. On the first charge it took about 5-6 hours to get it to 100%, with similar charging times after that. Other than that, the brightness and weightlessness alone make this product worth it. You can see incredibly far ahead of you when on the beam setting, or see plenty of your surroundings on the flood setting.
