Petzl Djinn Axess Quickdraw reviews and deals for sale

The Djinn Axess Quickdraw is one of Petzl's best-selling options because it's so burly and reliable, and this season Petzl released it in brighter colors than the old gray option. While the upper Djinn carabiner has a straight gate to facilitate clipping bolts, the lower Djinn carbiner has a bent gate in order to help you efficiently clip your rope so you can quickly climb on. Both carabiners have a wide contact surface for better rope glide and reduced wear, and the keylock system prevents snagging for easy cleaning. The Axess dogbone has polyester webbing that remains stiff in order to help you clip, and the String insert on the end prevents the sling from moving around when you clip it. The shorter draws (12cm) provide stable use on straightforward routes, and the longer ones (17cm) work well for reducing rope drag when you start heading up routes that meander.

Petzl Djinn Axess Draws

I first used these draws a few years into my climbing career and they immediately became my go-to’s for sport draws. Their reassuringly beefy dog bones are sure to hold a few hundred, or thousand, falls (they’re also great for hanging on if you have to). Furthermore, they feature the djinn carabiners, which are by far my favorite QuickDraw hardware when weight doesn’t read more matter. The ergonomics and specialized design of the individualized rope and bolt biners far surpass any wire gates and have won my preference over other solid gate draws. Only qualm I have is they switched from the rad color scheme to blue and purple, c’mon petzl.
