Dollar for dollar this cooler is phenomenal. It has maintained ice for at least 7 days in 110°f+ temps of 29 stumps California to the rugged terrain of MOAB Utah. In regards to durability it has been used and abused for roughly 3 years now with little to no signs of wear. It has been used as a camp stool, camp table, Jack stand riser for vehicle repairs, and great flotation device if need be. I lent it to my parents and they had to have one, I bought another one in red/tan for them. This will be my third pelican cooler I have purchased and have nothing but good to say about them. If the 30qt is too small for your liking I cannot suggest the 50qt enough.
