Patagonia Venga Rock Pant - Men's reviews and deals for sale
The Men's Patagonia Venga Rock Pant is in a pretty big hurry to get you on the wall. If the stretchy lightweight cotton blend and mobility-enhancing crotch gusset don't hint that these pants are ready to climb, then the articulated knees and careful details are sure to clue you in. The organic cotton weave is not only soft and stretchy for comfort and natural movement, but is also durable enough to hold its own against knee-bars, hip scums, and downclimbs. Small details like low-profile belt loops and a convenient drop-in thigh pocket make them a pleasure to wear under your harness, and the unique adjustable waist lets you tighten your fit with a simple tug of the pants' webbing loop.

March 29, 2020old version is better.
I have a couple pairs of the same style pants purchased about 3 years ago, one is green, another one is navy blue, they are perfect fit. So when I saw it on sales, I wanted to try new version of this pants. Well, I must say old version is much better than new one which has slim fit around waist and doesn't give you much leg room at all. These pants are still made in the same country,… read more but they changed sizing which is bad decision. So I had to return them. I ordered the third one at 32( I usually wear 30 sometimes go up to 31 as I like a bit extra room around waist.), let's wait and see. So please size up when you order it.

June 4, 2019Durable and Sleek
I gave these pants as a gift for my boyfriend's birthday. He has worn them several times going cragging and they are super durable and comfy. They also look sleek which is nice so there isn't excess fabric to get in the way of leg movement while climbing. Probably going to get them in another color for him soon as a surprise because he liked them so much.

February 14, 2019These pants are sick!
These pants are perfect for climbing or any kind of Outdoor Adventure. They are durable. I have climbed many days outside and in the gym with these pants. Awesome side pocket to keep items from falling out while you are climbing. They are comfortable and great for casual wear also.

December 20, 2018I like 'em a lot, but i wish i loved 'em
These are a really good pair of pants. They look good and are versatile as far as being able to climb in them and wear them out on the town. My only complaint is that they seem to ride a bit high in the croch, requiring one to find just the right pair of underoos to accompany them and create the perfect comfort zone.

November 13, 2018Get the Quandary pants instead
Ordered a pair of these at the same time as the Quandarys in January 2017. I pretty much exclusively wear my Quandarys when climbing now. These suck. They fit poorly and are baggy even if you buy the same size. The belt area is also looser where I have to wear a belt when climbing in these. I love Patagonia, but this is probably my one Pata product that I cannot recommend.

October 27, 2018Mountain style/fair climbing
1st bought a 31 (my Mnt Khaki sz) had to return for a 32. High crotch and flat butt are not ideal; thighs and taper are correct. Not enough stretch through the hips especially if it gets warm or humid to climb in. They do fit well under a harness and seem to climb a little better with a harness on. Pockets are nice and I like the thigh pocket better than Prana Zions. The material… read more has a nice finish but not enough stretch. Perfect evening on the town pants up to 72 degrees; I don't know if climbing pants was Patagonia's goal with these. I think if Patagonia used MK's cotton stretch material they would have had the perfect pants. I'm told last years version was just that. My wife is an elementary teacher and has 2 pair of Vengas (last year) she raves about the mobility and fit. I 'll continue to support Patagonia because they support climbers. I hope they correct the deficiencies of the Vengas. I want the perfect pair.

August 9, 20182nd pair
My boyfriend liked his first pair so much, I had to buy a second pair for him. Pretty sure he wears them every single day.

March 26, 2018Thicker than expected
The pants are true to size being a 30 waist however they feel a little too thick ancient seem to stretch at all

March 9, 2018Tough Fabric
It is true, these are not as stretchy as last years model. The fabric is a bit heavier which I think is a good thing as the pants will be more durable. The inseam is a little longer, but the fit overall is good.

March 5, 2018Horrible fit
I'm in the same boat as the other reviewer. I've owned a number of these pants over the past few years and these ones fit horrible. Every other pair fits amazing, but these guys grab you on the butt and feel way too tight. I'd send it back, but I'm too late on the 30 day return window- guess I should have tried them on sooner.

March 1, 2018Not like last years
These are horrible for climbing. I have two other pairs of this kind of pant from last year. The old model was 98% organic cotten 2% elastane and are wonderful. This new version is 78% organic cotten 24% polyester 3% elastane. The cut is the same but the new version isn't anywhere near as stretchy as the old one. I will be returning these tomorrow.

February 18, 2018Great for all types of climbing.
I have bouldered, sport climbed, and trad climbed in the desert in these pants. They have a great range of motion and allow me to move easily. The material is durable and shows no signs of wear even after scumming my way up chimneys on desert towers or throwing a knee bar on a sport climb. These are quickly becoming my favorite pair of pants.

January 29, 2018Super comfortable.
These are super comfortable but like other reviewers have said, they run a little large. I am 5'8'' 155 lbs. I tried the 28 to start and they were too small in the waist and crotch area. I bumped up to the 30 and they are just a little big. There is an internal belt that will make them a little smaller on the waist. Overall these pants work great for climbing and chilling. I got… read more the Navy blue color and they kind of look like Hospital scrubs to be completely honest.

January 8, 2018Runs too large for medium type person
I think that I'm typical medium person guy, for example I always buy The North Face products Medium sizes and it just fits me as if they were sewed for me. I also have pants from Black Diamond, Marmot and all of them are Medium either 32. So I've bought this one also 32 Size. The length is really good, but as for the waist and width of each legs are too loose and relaxed.

September 27, 2017My favorite pants
These pants fit exactly how i like pants to fit which means they are a little looser than some like. They are lightweight which makes them perfect for the summer/fall in SLC. I will be buying more of these in the future.

August 11, 2017Light yet tough
The first rule of climbing pants is to not notice climbing pants! These fit well beneath my harness and my movement is never held back by them. These are great pants for trad climbing when the temperatures rise. The fabric is light enough that I don't overheat yet durable enough that they protect my knees from scraps with granite! The adjustable waist fitting system helps keep… read more the pants in place under a harness without having to use a belt - a huge plus in my opinion!

August 7, 2017got two pairs for backpacking
I got two pairs of these babies for a backpacking trip in the Uinta mountains of Utah. Even after miles of hiking, I never felt any rubbing or discomfort. The material is soft with a little stretch to it, making it super comfortable for hiking and just sitting around camp. I've taken them on multiple hikes since the backpacking trip and they still impress me. They run plenty large… read more around the waist, but they're not as long as I thought they would be; This isn't a problem though. Patagonia makes great stuff, so I'm excited to see how they hold up after I "put them through the wringer".

June 29, 2017Comfy.
These pants are really comfortable and flexible. The sizes do run just a little big, so maybe consider sizing down for the length.

May 25, 2017seem pretty solid
Only worn these around town and to the climbing gym so far, but they have stayed on my legs as I'd hoped! They do run a couple inches large though. Taking them to the desert this weekend, so will report back.

April 26, 2017Amazing Hiking Pants
I live in New Mexico and go off-roading and shooting out in the desert fairly often. I bought these because I want to continue to wear pants in the Summer because of all the scrub brush and whatnot I run into when out in the wilderness. When it's cold out, they cut the wind. When it's warmer out, they're still lightweight enough that I don't sweat to death. Huge fan of these pants.… read more With Patagonia pants I usually go a size up, but in this case they ended up being too big. I sent them back and went with my regular size, a 36 waist, and they're a perfect fit.
