February 21, 2019So warm and soft
I am all about this vest.... not only does it look nice, but it is so soft and very comfortable. I thought it was going to be too big when I first got it but it fits just right. Great for early morning hikes as it is insulating, yet not too hot that it makes you sweat.

November 16, 2018Such a bummer, Runs LARGE
I would have loved this jacket, great blue color, looks like it would be plenty warm for cold weather aerobics but it runs just way too big. I have another vest form Patagonia and it fits perfect for an XS, it drives me nuts when sizes just keep getting bigger and bigger.

April 11, 2018Almost Perfect
My wife is one that is cold all the time. She got this vest in black XS and says it does that job pretty well. It could be a little more fitted, but she likes it's not bulky and can layer under and on top pretty easily.

November 3, 2016Warm and lightweight.
I consider vests the most understated and necessary part of my layering system. I'm often cold, yet overheat when wearing heavy fleeces or sweaters, so a vest is a happy medium. I have a few other Patagonia vests and have been nothing short of impressed with their performance and versatility, so purchasing another Patagonia vest (one that was more technical than say my other options)… read more was a no-brainer. Also, I love the Nano Air Jacket, so I figured it would be hard not to love the Nano Air Vest - and I wasn't wrong! This vest is incredibly lightweight, highly breathable, and provides me with core warmth in all the right ways. The fabric is super stretchy and moves with you, rather than getting clumped up in your movements. Thus far, I've used the vest while trail running, hiking, and every day wear. As for the fit, I purchased an XS and it's perfect. Typically, I wear either an XS (in Patagonia) for a true-to-size fit, or a S for a slightly loose / relaxed fit. All in all, this vest is definitely a new go-to!

I bought this as a gift and it was perfect! Per the recipient, this is a very light vest but still adds a nice layer of warmth. This fits true to size and is consistent with Patagonia sizing. The fabric is very soft but still feels durable enough to wear on any outdoor adventure.

August 8, 2016A Must Have In Any Adventure
This vest is originally $200 on Patagonia, but BackCountry had it on sale for a GREAT price! I had to have it! I ordered the Violet Blue in a women's small and it is absolutely beautiful! The fit is perfect, the material is light weight and SO soft, yet this vest keeps your core warm! I will be wearing this on a week long hike in the Alaskan Rain Forest during the wet season! This… read more is an absolute must have in any adventure!! I will be back to buy a second one!

October 9, 2015Great versatile vest
I have been pleased with my Nano Air Hooded Jacket so I decided to give this one a try for warmer conditions and to wear under a shell. I've put it through its paces as streetwear, on hikes and on a multi-day bike trip. It performed as I hoped every time I used it. The vest is very lightweight but is a great piece to keep me warm in over air-conditioned offices and stores. Outside… read more hiking and biking it cuts the chill of the wind and provides warmth without being overwhelming, particularly in the mid-40s to mid-60s damp type conditions so common in the Pacific Northwest. The vest is so light you don't know you have it on. I found the vest to be even more versatile than the jacket. I wore a headband for warmth as needed, and could leave the vest on over a short-sleeved t-shirt even as the day heated up. I was able to leave the vest on and zip it up if the wind picked up, or open it up to cool off. I was a little worried about the color (Mayan yellow). It's the end of the season and choices were limited. I ended up being happy with the color. It's somewhere between a lemon yellow and chartreuse, but it doesn't come across at all like a high-vis jacket (although the color is certainly visible). I'm pale skinned and look best in jewel tones and this color still works for me. I will continue to wear this into the winter as streetwear as a way to stay warm.
