Patagonia Nano-Air Jacket - Women's reviews and deals for sale

By blending durability, breathability, warmth, and stretch into the Nano-Air Jacket, Patagonia created a versatile, work-horse midlayer for your aerobic start and stop missions in cold conditions. This slim-fitting jacket is filled with Patagonia's revolutionary FullRange insulation. FullRange insulation blends the warmth and breathability of other synthetic insulation with the stretch and flexibility of fleece to keep you warm, comfortable, and mobile as you trek, climb, and ski. The face fabric has a high stretch as well while providing durable, abrasion-resistant protection for confident exploring. A DWR treatment to the fabric helps excess water bead up and roll away, rather than sit on the jacket surface and slowly sink into the insulation when you get caught in a surprise storm.

Not a stand alone

I desperately wanted to love this jacket, however, it provides no protection from the elements when used alone. None, what so ever. I purchased a large after reading the reviews and it fit very well, I like that it was longer in the back. For almost $300 I was looking for something with more warmth.

Gift was a hit

I own the men's version of this and it's one of my favorite pieces so I bought this as a gift. The jacket breathes extremely well while keeping you warm, so it's an excellent option for layering with a ski shell or under a rain jacket. I use it all winter long both fishing and skiing.

Awesome for just about everything.

This is one of the most versatile jackets I've ever owned. It's awesome for ski touring--super breathable on the uphill and warm when it needs to be. It eliminates the constant layering and de-layering I always find with other jackets.

My girlfriend loves it!

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. She has worn it everyday since I gave it to her. Its a perfect jacket alone if its chilly, or layered when its cold. She normally wears a small in jackets, but I got her a medium so she could layer under and it fits perfectly!

My mother loves it

I bought this as a gift for my mother because she wanted a jacket that was kind of like my Arcteryx Atom LT. She is in love with this jacket she wears it almost everywhere and will soon be taking it on a backpacking trip. She wears a small and it fits her perfectly, the only thing she didnt like is that there was no inner zipper, but she loves everything else about the jacket that read more it didnt matter.

Gorgeous technical wear

Beautifully designed and made. The cloth exterior has a soft feel that is hard to describe, almost like cotton silk. The only downside--it is a magnet for dog and cat hair! The styling reminds me of the traditional chinese work coat. Utilitarian, comfortable, but elegant. I had some doubt about how warm it would be, but it is surprisingly so. Perfect for activity outside when read more it is cold but not cold enough for the down sweater jacket. I wish it came in more neutral colors for women...a dark grey, for example, or an army green. I also wish Patagonia would consider a different approach to the labels on their down sweaters and nano-line. They are great technical wear, as usual, but also quite expensive. They could form a niche part of the Patagonia brand that could also be worn more fashionably, but the same-old Patagonia tag right on the front of the jacket, and the typical "sporty" color choices confine the look to sportswear.

Great lightweight jacket

Wicked warm and lightweight. Usually would buy a small but purchased a medium to put layers on under and to not feel super constricted, the small fit but was a little snug. Only issue I've had was it got a small tear on the arm from a thorn. So partially my fault but I feel thats typically what happens over time with flexible and lightweight gear, but its an easy fix to patch up. read more Overall awesome midlayer or everyday jacket.

Fantastic Jacket

One of the all around best jackets I've owned. Keeps me warm when I need to be warm, but isn't overly warm when I'm active. Everything you could ask for!

This jacket is amazing

It's super warm (tested on 40-50 degree days), very soft and the violet is b r i g h t but in a really good way. Fits tts like any other Patagonia.

HEAVEN!

I wrote a dual review for the Patagonia Nano and the Patagonia Houdini jackets as these two pieces have become my "go-to" pieces for damn near everything I do. When I snowboard, I put the Nano under my Outdoor Research jacket and I'm good for the day. This is so lightweight and so breathable and so FLEXIBLE! OMG! What a revolution! Can't rave enough. Plus, it looks as good in NYC read more as it does tearing it up on the beautiful, steep slopes of Taos.

Light, fabric doesn't hold up

Lightweight, compressible, ready to go. Once gripe is the fabric pills very easily and jacket starts to look run down after one wash cycle.

Amazing!

This is one of the most comfortable jackets out. It has a huge temperature comfort range, stretch insulation, and a quiet exterior fabric. Phenomenal! I have 3 and have gifted 3 to my closest friends. Needless to say but they never take them off till summer.

The perfect jacket.

It weighs almost nothing. It's surprisingly strong and snag-proof. It stretches. It breathes. It repels water. It fits great. It isn't shiny or noisy...so I can go from snowboarding in Taos to cruising around Manhattan without feeling like I'm giving up any style OR functionality. I love it. Love, love, love it!

Haven't taken it off since I got it

I did a ton of research before buying this jacket. It seemed to be a little expensive for a mid layer. But, after trying on a couple different jackets in this class I found this one to be the best fit. I sized up so I could layer. It's super warm, crazy light, comfortable, and versatile. Love it.

All the warm fuzzy

So warm, this jacket. I'm always cold, and this thing feels like never having to get out of bed. If only they made little finger jackets for those winter crack climbs. But I'll settle for an extremely warm torso and excellent flexibility throughout. Not sure how the fabric will hold up to continual scraping up against things or washing yet, and the arms seem a little wider than read more necessary, but I have full faith in Patagonia's stuff.

Here to Stay...

During product clinics, nothing evokes more excitement than the Nano Air. From the stories people tell, it seems like it's been in the line as long as the Snap-T. She might be the new kid on the block, but she has staying power. If I HAD to keep only one Patagonia jacket, this would be it. It insulates as discreetly as a nano puff, as comfortable as an R3, wicks moisture like read more capeline, and breathes and stretches better than anything in it's class. It's most notable feature (aside from all the others) is how well it breaths and wicks moisture. During a recent backcountry tour, I took my backpack off and realized I sweat through my jacket. I never would have known since my back and baselayer was totally dry! Amazing! Nano Air, try it, you'll like it.

Nice jacket but only at the right price

I like it and am keeping it in spite of fit issues. It is light, warm, and stretchy, as advertised. Be aware, however, that slim fit means that short curvy women like me (and I don't mean fat but I am muscular and do have a butt) will fit properly in the top but not in the bottom. It is snug across the bottom. Also, I'm a petite, so the length is down to the widest part of my read more butt (actually down to the top of my thighs), which may be part of the problem. The cochineal is a rusty red. The permeability means that some wind does come through. It seems about 90% wind resistant. Don't know about water resistance yet. I like it a lot but may have to shorten it in order to fix the fit issue. Also I have an ongoing gripe about zippers going up to the chin. I do not have a short neck (according to my fit on a cervical collar) but the zipper seems to be in the way of my chin. Also the 'stacked zipper' problem once you start layering things becomes annoying. Please, designers, change the zipper design at the collar. Finally, I like it at the $100 price point, although it doesn't really have enough functionality to qualify as a good value at that price (one-way zipper only, no hood, not waterproof, zipper not waterproof, no adjustable or inner cuffs). Yes, I'm picky. I'm a Nordic ski patroller who is out in all weather including rain, sometimes into the night for search and rescue, sometimes on a snowmobile. I expect the best from Patagonia and I don't see that this jacket meets that standard.

Very happy with this jacket

I waited to review this jacket until I've worn it for a couple months. It's become my daily go-to and I wear it climbing, both as an outer layer unless it's raining then a shell over top... and snowboarding (as a mid layer). The sleeves are a bit long, but in a good way. I can reach up climbing and the sleeve is long enough to keep my wrist covered. It's so lightweight and keeps read more me just as warm as I want. Great Patagonia quality piece. I am often between a size S and XS. The XS was very fitted to me so I got the S so that I can wear layers underneath. I would call it true to size.

Light jacket

I like the fact that this is light but still really warm. For the most part it fits true to size, but the sleeves are a bit long and I normally don't have issues with that.
