Patagonia Insulated Snowbelle Jacket - Women's reviews and deals for sale

Reach for the Patagonia Insulated Snowbelle Jacket when you're packing up and leaving the city behind for a weekend in the mountains. Be it a bluebird day in the Catskills or a stormy one in the Rockies, the two-layer Snowbelle adapts to a full range of resort conditions. Recycled Thermogreen insulation adds valuable warmth when a lift ride to the summit leaves you exposed to harsh gusts, while Patagonia's impressive H2No waterproof membrane prevents heavy squalls from soaking you through.

When the wind picks up, throw the helmet-compatible hood on to add an extra layer between you and bitter temps, and cinch down the powder skirt when you head off-piste. The webbing loop at the back connects easily to any Patagonia pants to eliminate the chance for gaps. The synthetic insulation will keep you warm but unencumbered when you don't need the protection of a shell.

Snowbelle Ski Jacket

This jacket keeps me very warm on the slopes in Vail, CO! I only wear a Hot Chili quarter zip underneath with one other base layer (either an Under Armor turtleneck or Patagoina base layer) and have never been cold - even during a whiteout! I am petite and ordered an XS and it does seem a little oversized (the sleeves are also too long on me) but it's nothing I can't live with. read more Definitely recommend!

Great in cold weather

This jacket is sealed very well. I was snowboarding in a 20-degree weather and have no complaints. I bought it in size S. Size XS is a much better fit for me but it doesn't leave room for layers With size S, I can wear a long sleeve and a fleece. It's a little bulky but it's a ski jacket. Highly recommend!

Great ski jacket!

Super cute print, great fit (especially the length!) and loooots of pockets. Why don't all jackets have this many pockets?

Great Ski Jacket

I got the Insulated Snowbelle jacket last season and skied often in it! I love the fit and color. Its 60 grams of insulation kept me warm to 20 degrees with merino wool baselayers. The outer fabric has a really nice soft feel and it is a really comfortable jacket. I wore it in heavy snow and it performed really well. It has all of the features you want in an insulated shell - powder read more skirt, pit zips, fleece hand warmer pockets, and a helmet-compatible hood. Its fit is true to size and slightly fitted. I was gad to have it last ski season and will use it again this season for sure. I definitely recommend it!

Warm and versatile

I bought this jacket to ski in. There hasn't been much snow this season, so I've been snow shoeing and using it in the cold temperatures. I bought a medium and the sleeves are a little long for me but are good to tuck my hands up insides the sleeves. I like the chest pocket and inside pockets. The zippered front pockets are also nice. I've used it mostly in temperatures a little read more below freezing with a mid-layer underneath and I've stayed quite warm. The hood is warm and secure when up and zippered closed. I bought the green and I like the color. Looking forward to taking it on the slopes.

Gave as Gift

"I love the fit of this jacket. I have a very short torso so I didn’t want a jacket that would be hanging below my knees when I was skiing. The small fits just right (I’m 5 foot)! The insulation on the inside of the jacket kept me warm all day on the mountain and prevented me from wearing too many layers (and over packing!!). My favorite feature about the jacket would have to read more be the zipper pocket right on my chest. I finally have a jacket that has the perfect place to put my cellphone. The Buffalo Green wouldn’t have been my first choice in color, especially with the pink zipper, but I liked how the jacket was all one consistent color. "

Superb

I actually bought this as a gift for my sister. I still got to check out a bit for myself, though. The insulation was much more substantial than what I was expecting. Not to say it was super bulky or anything, I was just expecting it to be super minimal insulation. The insulation is certainly enough to keep you warm on most days without much more on underneath other than a base read more layer. My sister is a small in most jackets. I went with a small in this one for her, and it is a great fit. Maybe just a bit loose, but not so much that it looks bad or is even noticeable. It would allow for some layering underneath. She could throw on a puffy as a mid-lay underneath this jacket if the temperature warrants that and still be comfortable. Overall I'd say this is a great jacket! Waterproof membrane, considerable insulation, fit that allows layering, and a fairly attractive price relative to other jackets of the same caliber.

Perfect!

I have yet to take this for a test drive but I am so excited to update my snowboarding jacket. It's an awesome jacket for all conditions. The fit is probably a little bigger than I expected but even on a warm day, if I don't need serious layers, it's not so boxy and loose that it'll become cumbersome. That said, I've been wearing it in and out of the house for errands (because why read more not) and it's incredibly warm for how light the jacket is. I think it has an appropriate number of pockets in the right places with long zippers that should make it convenient while on the mountain. Pockets are also big enough for any size phone, keys, etc. Color is sharp, bright without being obnoxious. Super great value for a ski/snowboard jacket. I do wish that I ordered true to my size at an XS. If you like to have just a big of wiggle and you've got a smaller frame I would recommend sizing up but if you're like me and tend to only pick warm days to be up on the mountain then it's a true to size jacket.

Size

I ordered medium, but ran small and ordered a large. If you have long arms and broader shoulders, you will need to go up a size. It is both great for really cold days on the slop and really warm days.

Wonderful Jacket for Winter Festivities!

I Gave this jacket to my BFF and here is what she had to say: My best friend recently gave me the Patagonia Insulated Snowbelle Jacket in Classic Red. I am 5’6” and weigh 150 lbs. The medium jacket fit perfectly. The sleeves are the perfect length for under the cuff gloves and allowed for comfortable range of movement with poles for skiing and hiking. I absolutely love read more the spacious interior pockets, which are large enough to store gloves or hat as well as your iPod. The hood is helmet compatible and provides plenty of coverage if wearing with just a hat. I’ve worn this jacket skiing and snow shoeing so far. Each time in sub 20 degree weather. The jacket was so warm with my base-layer underneath, I had to open the armpit vents. Overall, this is an incredible jacket appropriate for all outdoor activities, especially with the super cold winter temps in the Rockies. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great top layer to keep you warm and accommodate all of your “carry-ons” throughout your outdoor adventures!

Perfect Ski Jacket

I bought this jacket for my honeymoon between Christmas and New Years in Banff, Canada. Even though I'm cold-natured and the temperature rarely got above the single digits (Fahrenheit) this coat kept me warm and toasty through all of our adventures. I wore it for three days skiing with a North Face silken fleece pullover and a base layer and I was so warm I had to use the pit read more zips and even ditch the fleece on the last day. We had snow on our second day and the coat didn't get wet at all (the snow is pretty dry there). I really appreciated all of the interior pockets but the front pockets are top entry instead of side entry. This didn't end up being a huge problem for me as a I was mostly wearing my big mittens but it took a little getting used to. The hood is helmet compatible as listed so it hung over my eyes when I wore it around town but if I wore it will a pom hat it was perfect! I can't say enough about this jacket and I can't wait to use it for many years to come!

Well designed jacket

Bought this for my wife for skiing, and she has totally stopped wearing her other jacket (which is a really nice Patagonia shell). This fits her really well, and it does not look bulky despite the insulation. It has proven to be suitably warm for a variety of conditions without overheating (like some down jackets). The hood works perfectly over a helmet, and she likes to hunker read more down behind the nice high collar on the chairlift when the wind is blasting. She also likes the longer length for warmth and as a snow barrier. (And I think the length makes her look taller and slimmer, although she is perfect as is.) She tried a medium and a large, and while the medium looked fine to me, she decided on the large so she could easily layer a heavy fleece under for those 0 degree F days. (She is about 5' 6" and around a size 10 in outerwear.) I paid full price and thought is was a well worth it. At the sale price I see now, it is an outstanding value for the quality.
