Great on Touchscreens, Not Warm Enough

These gloves fit well and work better on touchscreens than five other pairs I own. However, they did not provide sufficient warmth in 20-30 degree dry weather. Would not trust them in rain or snow; I am returning them.

Exceeded Expectations!

I received these gloves in Mar 2019 and have skied in White Mtns of New Hampshire twice with them. They are perfect combo of thin with good tactile feedback while being plenty warm. My hands were never the least bit cold and no cold air go thru. They worked well on my touchscreen as well. Overall I am impressed and pleasantly surprised. I bought another pair for family.

The RARE DO IT ALL GLOVE!

Okay some back history, I bought the first pair of OR gloves I owned maybe 5 years ago, online stationed in Japan. I needed a warm glove that handled moisture, wind, and still let me operate my weapon and gear, these gloves did more than that and still were in uniform reg. I then took these puppies all the way to Purdue Bay above the arctic circle and back. I ended loosing them read more drunk in a bar in Seattle after my time was up. So I bought them again in Coyote and had that pair for years, and up until recently they were good, but years of wear has a way to degrade even a quality product. So I have ordered another pair in Coyote. These gloves are everything you need and want in a glove. The cuffs elastic is tight, but not difficult to get your hands through, their not covered in gaudy lettering or logos, and they do everything from snowboard to shoveling well with warm dry hands.

Backcountry, change the photo.

I ordered these gloves almost a month ago. You sent me gloves that look nothing like the ones pictured. I sent them back because I was certain there’d been a mistake and asked for the correct gloves. You sent me another pair. Again those looked nothing like the gloves pictured. I called you and told you about the error. You assured me you’d fix the website. You have not. read more Buyer beware. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE GLOVES PICTURED ON THE WEBSITE. it shouldn’t take this long to fix the website.

pictured glove different from received

I have used these gloves in the past and liked them - a lot, but when I ordered a new pair, I received a totally different glove than the one pictured. It simply doesn't look like the one on the website. It's got the same name and tag though, so I think it's just a matter of an old model and new model, with the website not getting updated.

All-Around Great Gloves

I wanted an all around glove to wear (driving, casual shopping, and such) to keep my hands warm and out of the wind. Here in Oklahoma, the wind can cut like a knife when it's cold. I have been able to use them a lot this winter (from the 40's and 50's down to 0) and they have held up quite well. They are great for driving and the sensor tips work great for getting around my phone. read more Don't know how they hold up dealing with snow just yet.

Touring glove approved!

I got this glove just for the uphill when touring and it does not fail! Just thin enough for comfort and the windstopper is exactly what I was looking for, for those howling morning before work. I could see this glove easily being a great everyday glove as well. I wear a Medium on this glove. I am a size 10 in Hestra if that helps you out. Let me know if you have questions, I'd read more be happy to help out.

Great Light Glove

I bought these to wear from the lot to the lift. Having light gloves allows you to get your gear on in the lot when you have very cold weather conditions. I wear them from the lot to the lift on the bus as it keeps my hands warm and able to access my phone, helmet strap, goggle adjustment, ect. I wear these during the spring and leave my heavy gloves behind as the black ones read more keep your hands nice & warm on the lift, during spring temps. Would highly recommend these. Also great to wear when I walk my dog in the winter, shovel snow, and cleaning snow & ice off my truck in the winter. OR gear is bullet proof, keep up the good work!

These are awesome!

I just bought them specifically for ski touring. After reading reviews and loving Windstopper, I pulled the trigger. After touring in these for about 5 days. I also had some great days on resort with a mitten shell in 25 degree weather and just the Backstop gloves in 32 degree weather with sun. I have also used them in the car at colder temps and while shoveling snow. It is safe read more to say that the glove that I bought with intention for one activity actually has use in many. SUPER stoked on this item and will be recommending it. I bought a size medium and they fit pretty snugly - but a large would be too long.

Great, versatile gloves!

The best thing about these gloves is how versatile they are. They work for any winter active pursuit. The back is windproof and quite warm, while the palm is very breathable. Whether I'm running, fat biking or walking to/from work, they adapt. When it's 15-35, I close my fists and they keep my hands warm. When it's warmer or I'm working up a sweat, I open my hands flat, and they read more breathe like champs. They also work exceptionally well with a touchscreen --- even better than my super thin merino North Face gloves.

The ultimate ski touring gloves!

I would first like to note that I run very hot, especially while I am ski touring. With that said, here are my thoughts: These gloves rock! I picked these up to wear while skinning uphill during ski tours and they have definitely exceeded my expectations! I was looking for a glove that would block out the wind, provide warmth but not make my hands sweat, and also not get soaked read more through when I have to dig around in the snow. The sensor gloves have been the prefect fit. They are a listed as a liner glove but for me they are think enough that I never had cold hands even during a ski tour in 20 degrees. The best part is definitely the Windstopper liner. It blocks out all wind and even handled wet conditions very well. I jokingly got knocked over into a pile of snow last weekend and both hands went straight to the bottom of the snow. To my surprise, both gloves stayed dry and did not soak up any of the water. The most surprising part about these gloves was how well the touch screen finger tips preformed. I was able to type a paragraph on my iPhone (with a LifeProof case on) without having any typos. When I got to the top of the skin track this past weekend I realized that this was the first pair of gloves that I have been able to leave on for an entire ski tour, and for me that is perfection. I would definitely recommend these gloves to anyone looking for a lightweight and versatile glove that can handle everything from ski touring to typing on your phone in the cold. Fit is true to size.
