June 27, 2020Another amazing Osprey pack
I'm a huge fan of Osprey packs as they have never let me down and exceed my expectations every time. The Tempest 6 is no different. I'm 5'5, 116lbs, 25" waist, short waisted/long legs, slim through hips and butt. I was worried that the pack wouldn't work for me b/c of my slim hip/butt, but it wasn't a problem. The pack has padded hip straps with a great adjustable belt. The belt… read more is wide enough in front that it doesn't dig into your side/tummy. This pack would be great for any woman's figure. When loaded up with water and other items, though it gets heavy (depending on what you put into it), the hip pads/straps hold well and didn't have the pack sliding down. I used it in a large dog park and it was sunny at 90 degrees. My hip/lower back wasn't soaked with sweat (though the rest of me was) while wearing the pack. The venting system on the inside of the hip pad area worked amazingly well. Had no lower back pain from the heavy pack. I was concerned the pack may have been too big or small, not issue there. The pack can be compressed using the straps or expanded as needed. There are enough pockets to put your phone (I have a XR and had no problem putting into the smaller front pocket with lots of room to spare for other items). The main pocket which is behind it is large enough to put extra layers, dog leash, snacks, wallet, keys, etc and still had tons of room. The hip straps have zipper pockets where I put my dog's treats, poopy bags, and personal items for me. The water bottle pockets can accommodate regular 750ml water bottle or the bottles that come with the pack (which work well) such as the camel. But, it can't fit a wide water bottle like a Nalgene Wide Mouth. The side pockets don't stick out, but are streamline. You can easily carebene items onto to the side straps. Then there are two more straps on the front of the pack for poles, extra layers or whatever you want hold there. I strapped in a 33.8 ml bottle of coconut water that didn't move with the straps were pulled tight. Can't wait to use this again! For size reference, I have the Osprey Viper 9 and it was about 1/4 of that pack. Larger than a fanny pack..more like a medium size barrel purse.

June 28, 2019Very comfortable, compact fit
(I use this for hiking so far) This pack fits well in the small of my back and doesn't stick-out too far with the water bottles inserted (like the men's version did) It holds a lot of cargo and has straps to anchor a jacket. I am able to clip my water shoes to the straps with carabiner. The included water bottles are a flatter, curved shape which lie on the hips better. I get a… read more lot of compliments on the teal color.

June 25, 2018Great Mothers Day Gift
I gave this to my mom for Mother's Day and she loves it! She is a part of a hiking group and was so excited to show it off to all her friends. There is room for everything she likes to bring plus some.

October 12, 2017BEST little fanny pack!
I love my Osprey fanny pack! Very well constructed, with enough pockets and space for just about everything I need. Love the straps on the outside for shedding layers and holding poles while I'm not using them. It's the perfect size for stuffing into your luggage and using while traveling!
