Ortovox Peak 35L Backpack reviews and deals for sale

From hikes around the cirque in summer to powder-seeking snowboard missions, keep everything you need for alpine assaults tucked into the Ortovox Peak 35 Backpack. This versatile pack is smartly designed to accommodate your mountain adventures any time of the year.

Ski, snowboard, and snowshoe carry options keep this pack ready for backcountry ski tours, while rope and crampon attachments help you with summer ascents. The PU-coated fabric sheds snow and rain with ease to keep your gear dry no matter the season. Crafted from pressed Swiss wool, the Swisswool Full Contact back system absorbs far more sweat than your typical foam material, and it's more breathable, so you don't get bogged down with sweat. Two aluminum struts reinforce the pack for extra support when your pack is fully loaded.

A separate safety compartment allows easy access to emergency rescue tools so you don't waste precious seconds when the worst happens. And should you get stranded in the mountains, Ortovox added alpine emergency signal illustrations so you can alert other mountain travelers to your situation.

Favorite Pack Ever

This thing is so awesome. Super high quality material, very comfortable, and full of features for all kinds of adventuring. In the summer, it's my climbing pack, and it can fit a 60m rope and all my gear no problem. In the winter is where it really shines though - easy to carry skis either diagonally or A-frame style. Easy to use rescue pocket, with dividers for my shovel blade read more and probe. It's the perfect size too, 35L is ideal for every day-long adventure. I do have two minor caveats. The first one is that the back panel is made of wool and intended to absorb your sweat, which it does very well, but it also can get really hot in the summer. The other is that it is relatively tall - not a huge problem because of how much adjustment there is, but if you're shorter than 5'6 or 5'7 it might not fit quite right. This is the best pack I've ever owned and if my current one ever wears out, I'll buy another.

Best ski mountaineering pack

This is a great versatile and comfortable pack. I use it primarily for day trip ski tours and ski mountaineering. I like the 35L size because it is large enough to fit crampons, ski crampons and emergency gear in addition to all of my normal ski tour stuff. The cross carry attachment is quick and easy which I really like. I ski 100+ days per year, and I have been using this pack read more for several years now. I can't imagine a better pack.

Best Day pack ever

This pack is so versatile. Handle ropes, ice axes and gear perfectly. Lots of ties offs with a helmet net that carry's it to the outside of the pack. Had it loaded last weekend with 35lbs and I must say it was comfy and dint even notice it was there. I am a big guy at 6'2" and 240lbs and it fits well. Buy it. Can't wait to try it for skiing.

Fantastic ski touring pack

I was sent this pack and the Peak 45L to test. I had heard good things about it and wanted to take it out for a full day skiing. My first impression was how well the pockets were designed. There is a good sized pocket for avy gear and the other pockets work well for everything you need for a full day out. Both the 35L and the 45L carry a load very well and I have taken both read more of them on overnight and yurt trips fitting everything needed for a few days in the hills. You can A frame or carry skis at an angle and both options work well. You can carry two ice tools and I really enjoy the buckle removal which allows you to access your ax without taking the pack off. The material of the pack is reinforced and has held up well with over 60 days of back-country use. I expect that this pack will also be great for summer use and I am excited to check it out for climbing. I would highly recommend this pack for everything from day ski tours to big mountaineering objectives.

Perfect for almost everything!

This backpack is amazing for short ski trips and also for hiking! It has one of the best fits I ever use and is súper confortable for it’s size. You can put your skis with a sleeping bag with no problem. The only cons I find is that is too big for the resort use. It is my favorite!

Does Everything

This bag is perfect for my climbing needs. This bag is can be customized to meet the demands of day climbing adventures and you can remove or hide the features you don't need. Backcountry Skiing - It has both the A-frame and diagonal ski carry options. It also has the shovel/probe pocket. Day Climbing / Mountaineering - Dual ice tool carry, crampon carry, and helmet carry options read more make this pack at home in steep terrain. The fabric on it also seems like it can take a beating. I love how on the right hip belt there is a pocket, which is perfect for my camera. Then on the left hip belt there is a gear loop, which makes getting to things like screws and rescue gear easier. Hiking - This pack can carry enough gear for overnight trips (I haven't done one yet with this pack). It is comfortable to wear, but does get a little sweaty. I'll need to do more hiking to figure out if the back wool panel helps. This pack is awesome for ascents and descents in cold or warm weather.
