Works great with a tweak

I have the .5 version and ride road tubeless, but normally carry a Crank Bros. multitool with chain breaker (big), two threaded cartridges and micro inflator, a quick link installer with extra links, and a tubeless tire plug/repair tool. I could probably jam in a tube as well. The bag is oriented on the horizontal plane and doesn't appear to be very 'aero' when you're off the bike, read more but it's hidden behind your thighs so I don't think you're sacrificing much from its shape. My one quibble about the bag is that the plastic grippers at the end of the elastic cinch straps face forward. These can abrade the legs on your shorts. I came up with a simple workaround for this: stretch them a little further and tuck the grippers at the six o'clock position. The clip is rock solid and locks with a resounding click. I've lost a bunch of tools with other clip on bags, most notably Scicon bags, which look great but are made poorly. The waterproofedness on this one has been put to the test as well and came through just fine.

Stuff it full

This is a nice saddle bag option for bikes where a traditional saddle bag mounting style won't work i.e. a Thudbuster or dropper post. The mounting plate goes on the rear rails on your saddle and the bag slides securely into place. The rolltop and coating of the bag will keep the contents dry in most situations. It also holds a lot more than I thought! In the .8L I have a tube, read more 2 C02's, air chuck, large multitool, chain breaker, and two tire levers. The rolltop closure allows for filling the bag as you need. My one qualm with the bag is the plate works itself loose after every few gravel rides. It's a quick fix, just tighten with a Philips. But, the rattling around can be obnoxious on a descent. Going to try some blue lock-tite on the fastening screws to see if that alleviates the issue. Other than that, it is an outstanding bag!

Will the Small 0.5 L fit a 29er tube? Will it work with a dropper post? Any rub on the shorts/legs? It seems a bit wide.

My seat is pushed as far forward as possible on my seatpost. Will the fixing plate work on the back/wider portion of the rails or do I need horizontal rail space?
