Multi-functional Superstar!

Each one has multiple uses which is great. For example the spatula has a serrated edge you can use as a knife on softer food. Folds up easy to pack into small places.

So lightweight and compact!

I have to say that we haven't had a chance to try these out and about yet, but these are super cool. They are INCREDIBLY lightweight and multi-functional. I don't always read descriptions carefully, so the cheese grater/strainer/serrated edge was a pleasant surprise! Bought these for backpacking and camping, and we are so pumped to try them out. All that you really need in one set! read more

Good value and useful

My job involves quite a lot of traveling so I purchased these utensils as part of the cookset I fly with. I like MSR products a lot and this is no exception. I was initially skeptical of the durability of these, given their appearance, material, and general flexibility, particularly in the case of the strainer/cheese grater. After over 3 months of daily use I can safely say read more that they live up to the MSR name and I am glad to have them. They show very little signs of use so far. While the spatula is a little smaller than I would like, I gladly sacrifice that in order to keep them lighter and more packable. The other downside of the set is the spoon, but only because I don't use it. I haven't found a time where it worked better than any normal spoon so I don't bring it with me anymore. Bottom line: Great utensils but skip the set and buy the spatula and strainer separately.

Great for backcountry cooking

These work well for cooking more than dehydrated foods. I have had no issues with them and am very satisfied. I mean I really can't say anything more about them just buy them and you will thank yourself.

They perform as advertised

We put them to the test last week, cooking for four. The set works as advertised, light weight, compact and inexpensive. The spoon is shaped perfectly to get the last bit of batter and beans out of the cook ware. The measurements on the inside are helpful. I would of traded the strainer for tongs as my cookware has a strainer lid but I can see its potential. They looked micro at read more first glance but scooped, mixed and flipped as needed.

Are they high temperature silicone? Would they not melt in hot bacon grease?
