Almost Perfect

Loved the material, all the pockets, Size small was right on but did not like the low waist. Back it goes ..

Flattering versatile pant

Love these! Super comfy and flexible but still presentable put together appearance. I wear these to work or out for errands or to the gym. Really versatile pant. Very flattering on the booty as well.

Comfy for Curvy Girls

I love these pants. I want every color. They’re stretchy, but fitted in the legs, with generous give in the waist/hips. I’m a short, chunky, middle-heavy hiker who usually wears a 14-16, but the L size in this pant is comfy. In a lot of pants, I find that the waistband digs (or falls/moves while I’m hiking), but the band is wide and stretchy and stays put. Lightweight and read more breathable, but durable - these are my go-to hiking pants. I also really appreciate the amount of (non-bulky) pockets. I just ordered the capri and I’m hoping the fit is the same!

Favorite Pants

I kinda want to say these suck so no one else buys them and I can buy all the colors before they run out. Stretchy material, very breathable, super comfortable. The protect fromm wind and sun, but feel cooler than shorts in hot weather and warm enough in cool weather. Don't stick to you if they get sweaty. Deep front pockets & shallow back pockets. I have muscular thighs and a bubble read more butt and they aren't tight on me & the pockets on the butt aren't too small that they make my butt look big. I can wear them to work (office casual) or hiking in the Sierra Nevadas by my home & they feel like I'm wearing pajamas. I love them.

Runs large

I ordered my normal size, but when I tried them on they were a bit too loose in the waist. I ended up returning them. I really like the pant and will probably try a size down.

Poor fit

I returned these pants immediately after trying them on. They were too loose in the wast and overly tight in the thighs, with some rear waistband gapping despite the elastic. I thought the band could be a bit higher. These are not the ideal pants for women with curvier rear and thighs. I also thought the material seemed very thin, but can't evaluate its durability since I did not read more wear them. .

Not Durable

I so loved these pants for the first couple seasons that I wore them. The waistband is incredibly comfortable and flattering, and they are super stretchy and easy to move in. However, the material just doesn't hold up to serious outdoor use. While my Dynamas used to be my favorite climbing pants, I stopped wearing them because the fabric became extremely pilled, especially around read more the thighs where my harness would go, and they just didn't look or feel nice anymore. Contrast this with my 2 pairs of Yumas which I've had at least as long, and I still wear to this day. Mountain Hardwear makes those with a much more durable fabric.

Dynama pants are awesome!

I have dark zinc - the color is a dark slate blue (almost like denim). Love the color. Love the fit. Love the pants. I like back pockets for my phone and front pockets for my keys. These have more structure than yoga pants so are suitable for going out to dinner but are just as comfortable as yoga pants. The wide waistband does not pinch or roll over. The cinch to make these read more capris is only on 1 side and it would look better if it was on both sides but I had not planned to use it at all so that is not an issue for me. They probably run a bit large. I have only worn and washed them about 4 times. No pilling yet. I love them so much, I ordered another pair in dark tannin.

I want to love these pants, but...

They started pilling after their first use :( otherwise, they are the most comfortable pants I own. I'm 5' 4'', ~125 lbs and S fits me perfectly. They're loose around the knees which makes them great for activities. Wish I could love them more.

OBSESSED

I bought my first pair last year and still annoy my friends everytime I wear them because I can't stop raving about how comfortable they are. These are extremely flattering, soft and thin (perfect for keeping me cool here in the desert). The reason it's not 5 stars for me is durability. I made the mistake of wearing these on a super rugged approach and wished I'd worn my usual trad read more climbing pants. But for mild-to-moderate approaches, hikes and sport climbs, there is nothing else I want to wear.

Pilling

These pants are SO comfortable that I want to live in them, but after about 5 days of heavy use, I had major pulling where my Day bag hit my hips while travelling. For the price I paid, pilling should not occur this quickly! I’ll keep them for hiking since they are so comfy, but I’ll have to find more durable pants for travelling.

Comfy but not as durable as I hoped!

I love the shorts, so needed to try the pants! I also loved them for the comfy waist band and stretchy fabric, but they didn't seem durable enough for climbing. I wore them casually and for some yoga, and they were great for those uses. I tried the medium and they stayed on but were definitely a relaxed fit, so the small is much better for me. True to size! While I wouldn't recommend read more them for a ton of climbing, they are super comfy for gym climbing, hiking, scrambling, and other adventures.

"Amazing Pants" - My Fiance

For the record, no I have not tried them on, but after how much my fiancé raves about these pants (every single time she wears them), I may or may not have thought about trying them on. In her words, they are super comfortable from the crag, to the couch, to the bar. She found them to be true to size and definitely worth a buy!

Great Comfortable Pants

I've used these pants for climbing, hiking, and just lounging around the house. One of my favorite parts is the waistband which is flattering and really comfortable, especially under a harness. I haven't had these on yet when it was rainy outside, but the DWR finish has come in handy when spilling water on myself while trying to drink on bumpy roads. Overall, I'm really happy with read more these pants and I'm stoked to buy more in their new colors.

So Comfortable

I have thicker thighs and had the hardest time finding a hiking pant that would fit well without being too tight on the thighs. I decided to give these a try and I am so glad I did! They have a great amount of stretch but don't get saggy throughout the day. The waistband is more comfortable than any other pants I own and they stay up better than I had anticipated with a pull on read more waistband. I do wish the pockets were a little more functional, but I'm usually carrying a pack when I wear these so it's not a deal breaker for me. I also love the drawstring at the bottom so I can adjust the hem length depending on what shoes I have on.

Disappointed

I recently purchased these for an 8-day trip to AK. There was 3 days of backpacking and then several day-hikes. The fit was great and love the waistband. But on day 2 of backpacking I noticed the piling had started where my backpack hit my hips. By day 3 it was so noticeable that even my husband remarked on how bad the piling was for brand-new pants. I had read other reviews that read more talked about the piling and thus expected there would be some over a reasonable period of time. However, the second day of wear is a ridiculously short amount of time in my opinion. These are not exactly cheap pants and I certainly expected better of the Mountain Hardwear brand. Maybe if you are only hiking for shorter periods of time and/or don’t wear a pack they will stay nice looking but any kind of extensive wear is going to produce piling. I am thoroughly disappointed.

Nice pants

I really like the cut and style of these pants, am mostly commenting here re: sizing. I am usually between a size small and medium-- in these pants, a small will definitely do the trick for me. I'm 5'5", 28 waist, 38 hips- 150 lbs.

Love em!

I gave these as a gift to a friend and here is her review: Great lightweight pant with tremendous versatility. I love the waistband -- they stay up comfortably without pinching my waist. The fabric is breathable, which has been great for long days on the trails. I've most often used these pants to climb. Again, the waistband makes them very comfortable with a harness. The fit read more is flattering as well. I'm 5'5", 130lbs., with chunky legs the Small fits great. The only drawbacks that I see with these pants is that they have pilled over time, and the lack of quality pockets. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend adding a pair to your wardrobe!

Best climbing/hiking pants ever.

I seriously cannot say enough good things about these pants. I just returned from a 2 week road trip to the Rocky Mountains and I literally wore these every day. They are super comfortable and I love the elastic waist. I am a climber and the fabric is super stretchy - perfect for high stepping and stemming. Too many "climbing" pants are not stretchy at all. The fabric is also water-repellent read more which was perfect since mountain weather can go from sun to rain to sleet within minutes. And the fabric is super easy to wipe off/clean - I wore these for miles of hiking over mountains and glaciers, multiple uphill approaches and scrambles, and through multi-pitch climbs (complete with snow and rain) and they were still dry, comfortable, didn't stretch out, and looked as clean as day 1. I also own the capri version of these and they are equally as awesome if you're in warmer weather. For reference, I am 5'3'', 113 lbs and the XS fit perfectly.
