Michelin Force AM Tire - 27.5 x 2.6 reviews and deals for sale

Seeing that riders are embracing high-volume rubber for its numerous benefits in ride quality and grip, Michelin developed the Force AM 27.5 x 2.6in Tire for unrelenting traction and added bump compliance over jagged rocks and sudden drops. Since 2.6-inch tires aren't as voluminous as plus-sized options, you'll notice it's still relatively lightweight and not as vague in steering feel and handling characteristics as its plus-sized brethren. It's a bit faster rolling than many tires in the "all-mountain" category, making it ideally suited for running in the rear with a slightly more aggressive tire up front.

The Trail Shield casing is impressively resilient against sidewall slashes and unexpected flats across technical trails, courtesy of its high-density reinforcement layer. Michelin's GumX3D compound strategically employs three different rubber compounds for the best of fast-rolling efficiency, tread longevity, and cornering grip. As expected, the center features the hardest rubber compound for less rolling resistance and greater tread life, transitioning to a slightly softer compound towards the shoulder knobs for excellent cornering control. This tubeless-ready tire readily seals up, so you can reap the benefits of bump compliance and extra grip at lower pressures.

Great all 'rounder

I was excited to give these tires a go, and am not disappointed, dispite the fact that mother nature hasn't been throwing me the best conditions to truly test them out. They're supple, and track well, but in wet conditions trap mud in their tread pretty majorly, which isn't my favorite feature. To be fair, I don't think that's what they were meant for, but until drier days that's read more all I have to judge them on. That being said, when the days are dry, they hold up well, roll quickly, and feel planted in banked corners.
