Metolius F.S. Mini II Carabiner reviews and deals for sale
Metolius updated the F.S. Mini II Carabiner with a larger gate opening for better clipping while climbing. Alpinists can appreciate this sequel's lightened weight, while sport climbers can gain confidence with the flared nose that reduces accidental gate openings. And every climber will love that the F.S. Mini II has a less expensive price tag for this season.

September 26, 2018Small, But Versatile Size
As plenty others have mentioned, this carabiner works great for climbing uses such as racking gear or as a bail biner. The small size also makes it perfect for your keys or just to carry in your bag for whatever situation may arise.

August 31, 2018great small biner
Great biner for racking and similar size to Nano.

February 1, 2018Go-to mini-biner
Love is always about perspective. My primary use for these is as a life flight medical provider- weight/size matters, loose objects kill, failure is not optional, and dexterity is scarcely impeded by a nitrile glove. I've since found the little buggers proliferating into the rest of my life- keys, nalgenes, securing rescue/climbing gear, macgyver situations... Have these replaced… read more my workhorse rack biners? Not at all- they're just too small to be deftly manipulating all day climbing... But that is the point- they are mini biners. If you're looking for a smaller workhorse biner, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a mini biner, these are bomber.

Works perfect to hold your keys. Not too big and not too small.

March 16, 2017Solid
I haven't used it for climbing yet, but its a great size for a key set and it's always nice to have another bail biner.

January 27, 2017Lightweight, not bulky
I like these because while they're significantly smaller, you clip in just as easy as with a large biner. And I use one for my keys!

January 2, 2017Great, but not perfect.
On their own, these biners are great! I use them with Metolius cams and they're perfect; on my key ring, and I like to have some extra around for bail biners and miscellaneous things. But between the Camp Nano 22's and this, I much prefer the Nano's. They're just a tad bit lighter and a slightly larger gate makes them just a bit easier to use. These are still great carabiners,… read more but they're not best.

December 5, 2016Great!
FS mini: These carabiners match flawlessly with my mastercams making for a super light rack. Even though they are small I've had no issues quickly clipping in to them.

June 20, 2016Good for non climbing uses too
I've got these on my fishing kayak to help with rigging rods/anchor/tackle, and I have heard of people using these on rafts or driftboats too. Small, inexpensive biners are almost as versatile as duct tape

April 26, 2016great for some uses, probably not others
I use these color coded on my x4 cams. They are perfect for that because they are cheaper than alot of other color options and lightweight. They are definitely smaller than most carabiners you'll get, but for just racking cams that's preferable to save on weight. I use alpine draws on all my cams so it's not like I'm using these biners for running the rope through or taking falls

April 19, 2016too small
I got a few as racking biners, but they're too small for even that! I find them difficult to clip/unclip from my harness/rack loops. When I was hanging off a crimp, and trying to jangle my blue X4 off my gear sling, I decided that I was done with them. There are better small/light options out there that out perform this biner. When I have to bail, I will be leaving these behind… read more on the mountain.

December 5, 2015great and small
These are great for hanging your hammock from. They're smaller than most carabiners with this power and very lightweight.

Metolius F.S. Mini II Carabiner Questions and Answers
Does anyone know the actual width of the 32mm tire when mountain on a standard road wheel. I can likely clear something that measures up to about 33mm, but if these run extra large like some of the other contis it's not gonna fly.
