Marmot Lightray Insulated Jacket - Women's reviews and deals for sale

Ready for winter adventures, the Marmot Lightray Insulated Jacket is built with the everyday skier in mind. It boasts an excellent blend of performance and style that has become the industry standard over the last few years. The Gore-Tex 2-layer laminate allows you to go riding no matter the conditions by blocking out horrible winter weather, while simultaneously wicking moisture and releasing excess body heat. This bad weather often brings along extremely cold air so the Lightray is packed full of lightweight but well-insulating Primaloft Black ECO insulation that allows you to ride from the first chair to the last. Finally, a combination of riding specific pockets, a helmet-compatible hood, and underarm vents ensure you stay warm, comfortable, and prepared all day long.

So far so good

I haven't had a chance to try it on the slopes but my first impression is that is has everything I'll need. I'll update my review once I've worn it a few times. I had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction and my chest gets really cold quite easily so my current shell (not enough room for laying) doesn't work for cold days. I was looking for a shell I could wear either a read more fleece or down midlayer under or a lightly insulated jacket that would need a baselayer. I tried a couple other technical shells but decided this was a good fit since I have another shell for warmer days. Even with the light insulation i can still wear my packable down on the really cold days. Whether or not I need any additional layers is TBD.
