Supper Awesome

This helmet worked great. even though I have a big head it was comfortable. it is very sturdy and I felt safe when climbing. Is that not what you want in helmets?

Great Helmet

This helmet is crazy light. You put it on and forget that its there! I climbed with it a couple of times during the dog days of summer, and it breathed well and I didn't feel like it kept my head hot at all. I do have a larger circumference head; 60cm to be exact so I went for the larger model. While, it does fit comfortably, I don't think I would be able to add a thick hat read more and or climb with it if I had more hair. If you have a large/larger head then mine, and like to have the option of loosening you helmet and or putting hats and things underneath, you may need a larger size helmet. The helmet is priced a little high but it is definitely high quality, seems sturdy, lightweight and overall a good purchase to keep the noggin safe during hard sends.

Lightweight, but solid

This helmet is extremely lightweight and mega adjustable. I have a giant head and the larger size fits me perfectly, but is also adjustable to the point that my far smaller-headed girlfriend is also able to use it. Further, the combination of plastic and foam means that the top of the helmet is durable enough to take the abuse of climbing without getting easily shredded or crushed. read more Blue color isn't overwhelming either and stands out from natural surroundings in case you need to get spotted.

Solid protection

The main reason I love this helmet is how lightweight it is, while still feeling sturdy and having all the features you want out of a helmet. I wore it down in Moab is some direct sunlight and it the helmet didn't make my head overheat either.

Awesome Canyon Helmet Too!

I used this helmet for rappelling in Oregon the other day and loved it! The fit is really nice and snug, not to mention comfortable. The venting is beyond fantastic, so it's perfect for climbing or rappelling in the desert! One sneaky feature I like about this helmet, is the lip on the front. It sends water shooting out instead of down!

What Helmet??

Such a great protection piece to add to the collection! Extremely light weight with solid ventilation for those real warm days. I like how they left a full piece on top of the noggin and kept the foam in the back, making sure you're getting the protection but still being light weight. It did take a minute to find the perfect fit with the straps, though been perfect since the first read more time around.

Forget it’s even there

Awesome helmet. Super light and comfy. Honestly keep forgetting I have it on. Takes a couple of mins to get the straps sized right (and I think Mammut could have done a slightly better job here) — but why am I complaining? Took me 4 mins (vs 2 ideally) — but only had to do it once... Get it.

Peace of mind on the climb.

My mom would kill me if I didn't wear a helmet while climbing. So I used the Mammut Wall Rider for a light and protected climb. I enjoyed having the head lamp clips when we were still cleaning up our route in the dark. For it's size, the helmet is pretty light. Easy to on your head and forget it's there. You'll hardly notice it's deep in your backpack when you hike out. This helmet read more is high quality in comfort and safety. It's hard to say much else, I haven't gotten conked by gravity yet, but if I do I'll let you know how the helmet held up.

Protect your noggin

After using the BD Half Dome for a few years this helmet was a huge step up for me in comfort, fit, and style. I have a pretty small head so I went with the smaller size, 52-57. With foam inserts of different thickness' I was able to dial in the fit perfectly. The helmet barely feels like it is there, it covers a greater surface area of my cranium than the Half Dome, and the adjustable read more straps make the fit consistent every time I put it on. I hesitated to spend more on a climbing helmet but I am very happy that I did. As somebody who spends hours in a helmet on SAR calls the comfort and light weight is well worth it.

It’s like it’s not even there

I love this climbing helmet. Easy to adjust, extremely light, and very comfortable. I wore this for a couple straight hours of multipitch climbing and completely forgot it was there. It’s that comfortable! Not to mention light weight! This helmet also breathed very well in hot conditions, yet has enough space to wear a hat underneath for cooler conditions.

Ultra Comfortable Helmet!

I have a huge head, a ton of hair, and like to wear a hat when I am climbing. Somehow this helmet holds it all and remains very comfortable. It is so lightweight that you really will forget you have it on until that bit of choss comes down.

Better than Expected

Comfy, can fit a hat underneath easily, great ventilation. I was very worried about the all webbing fit design. It turned out to be the reason I kept it over all others. I had issues with the plastic adjustment pieces on other helmets but the webbing on the wall rider is just oh SO COMFY. Also the weight is amazing. You feel like you are wearing nothing at all. I have taken some read more small impacts such as bumping my head on a roof and it absorbed it well unlike other helmets I tried. Great ventilation means less sweating. This helmet is the same or greater quality than helmets with a price tag of $40 more. Get this! You won't regret it!

EPP Core

It's light, looks good, and has a small visor. All great stuff. The key differentiator for me is the EPP core. The fact that this helmet will not become obsolete after one impact like all other helmets on the market (except the Petzl Sirocco, which is significantly more expensive) makes it a no-brainer in my opinion. Very happy with my purchase.

So comfy!

Amazing helmet. I was a little worried about the fitting with only webbing to adjust, but it fit like a charm. I have never worn a helmet so comfortable. I've used it with and without a trucker hat underneath without any problems. Initial adjustment takes a bit but after no worries! Amazing to have such lightweight protection for a midlevel price. I would 10/10 recommend. You can read more finally be the person that is always being safe and wearing your helmet not because your that one safety guy but because you forget it is there. (Notice the large is not really large. It runs a bit small)

hardly notice it

This helmet is awesome! It's super lightweight and easily adjustable. Everytime I go climb with a few friends, their helmets are off and on constantly. I put mine on and basically forget about it, it's that comfortable. and it can be adjusted so easy, I have traded it with my girlfriend between climbs and neither of us had complaints swithching between sizes. Not to mention, I have read more gotten a few compliments on the color way, so that's always nice too.

Ultralight great for all day climving

I find myself going to the wall and hiking in first thing in the morning and leaving late in the afternoon only removing my helmet when I get to my car. The wall rider is super light and doesn't move around on your head but it also doesn't feel like it's going to split apart with the first big impact. I have about 20 days on this helmet so far and would definitely recommend it to read more anyone that's going on longer climbs/trips and wants all day comfort

Get a Petzl Sirocco Instead

Took this on an 8 month South American climbing trip. It's light, good looking, comfortable, visor, headlamp compatible, sheds icefall well, etc. Pretty much all I need in a helmet, with the exception of a pretty serious design flaw. It was strapped to my backpack on a slippery alpine descent, and I fell and it broke along the plastic/EPP foam transition when I slipped. It's a read more pretty prominent point of weakness that doesn't exist in a side by side comparison with the Petzl Sirocco (and it's a few bucks cheaper). Along each of the three struts on half the helmet! As a mechanical engineer, I notice that this design could be improved by increasing the bend radii for strain relief, or just increasing the cross sectional area along the fracture line. What a bummer on an otherwise great helmet. Hope it's addressed in future revisions, or my next will be a Sirocco (despite how ugly they are, they've also got a 3 year guarantee that Mammut doesn't have, as well as being a few bucks cheaper) Whatever, i'm gonna put some GOOP on it and keep the tape fix, as it'll still shed impacts from above. I'm just a little disappointed in the engineering!

Better than the rest, BUT WITH A VISOR!

Petzl helmet is ugly. Get over it people. This one looks way better. BD helmet is too much $$$. This one isnt. And it HAS A SWEET VISOR! Get it.

Light is Right

I have a lot of helmets, and this is by far my favorite because it's so light and minimalistic. I also really like the strapping system--the straps are soft, thin and easy to adjust with small pull-buckles. For me, the lighter and smaller the better with helmets, and this is hands down the most least I've ever had :)

Light and Durable

Use this for ice and rock climbing, don't even notice it's there! Wish they had a more female-specific fit around the pony-tail area in the back - but it sits pretty high up on the back of the head. The slight visor/brim is great for sunny days also.

Does this seatpost have any offset? I know the bottom clamp is extended on one side, but I can't tell if the top clamp is centered or offset.
