You're taking your ski touring game to the next level, and like you, the Mammut Trion Spine 75L Backpack is destined for great things. What this means for you is complete freedom of movement over tricky terrain, all while maneuvering your way over glaciers and across scree with 75 liters of gear on your back.
In addition to plenty of room for all your gear and overnight equipment, the Trion comes with dedicated attachments for ice axes, trekking pole, rope carry, and reinforced side ski carry. A generous front zip opens your pack up fully for easy access when you're in your tent, while assorted pockets on the shoulder and hip straps ensure that small tools of the trade are never far from hand when you're on the go. The back panel features high-density, 2-layer EVA padding for comfortable carry, with padded hip and shoulder straps and an adjustable torso length guaranteeing a perfectly molded fit. The pack is hydration-compatible if you want to equip it with your favorite bladder, and it also includes a zippered side pocket for carrying extra water.

May 3, 2019Front opening!
So, I'm bad about taking my Mammut mountaineering packs backpacking, But, they double as both so well, that I do all the time. You can see my Trion Pro in this photo as well. This time I was worse and did a little canyoneering with them. This pack is definitely not meant for canyoneering, but it held up great! It was also supported weight comfortably. We made this one the… read more heaviest pack, and the wearer had zero complaints. Trust me, he would complain if there was an issue. This is meant more for cold weather. So, the one issue I could see is that it doesn't breath as well as others. But, if you want one pack for your winter and summer pursuits, I wouldn't hesitate to sell you this one. The Front opening is so nice! You don't see that as often anymore and we actually needed it.My Teenagers didn't understand why you'd have a zipper like that, until we needed it. I had put my wallet waaaay at the bottom. Luckily I put it in this pack because we just opened it up, found it, and zipped it closed. Easy Peasy! I'm not sure how durable it is, but I've had my Trion on Pro for 5 years and it's perfect, so I'm going to give it 5 stars based on reputation.
