The Whole Enchilada

These bibs are built for all conditions everyday riding. My first impression of these the Nordwand Pro HS Pants were that they are the most flattering bibs I have ever worn. They immediately became my go to snowboarding pants because they are lightweight, flexible, and durable. I have worn them on resort powder days and the GORE-TEX Pro membrane keeps me dry the entire time I'm read more riding. I have also taken them out on a few long backcountry touring trips and never break a sweat because the breathable membrane and allows me to heat up with out having to start shedding layers. I have worn them over 25 days of all conditions skiing in Utah and the Nordwand Pro HS Pants have kept me comfortable and protected every single day. I am 5'4'' and 120 lbs and the size 6/Reg fit me perfectly.

Seriously impressed

These pants are even better than I thought they’d be. The fit is great and I was thoroughly impressed by the built in gator. They’re super comfortable and the zippers are perfectly placed. That being said... size up. They run small. I’m 5’5 120lbs and i have a 25” waist and these fit snug (I ordered a small). I usually wear an XS but I planned on layering these over other read more clothing so I figured I’d size up. Glad I did.

Euro FIt

Mammut is a leader in technical apparel. With their European design, the wearer can expect to stand out. If you are looking for sleek, flexible, and durable bibs these are the bibs for you. Three layers of gortex protect you from getting wet, and the suspension keeps the pants high and you dry. The fit of the pants flatters the figure, so even when you are layered up you get to read more look your best. I wear a size 4 in women's, and I wore a size 4. They were pretty snug, with the euro cut they tend to run slightly smaller. I would recommend sizing up for comfort.

Durable Gore-Tex Bibs

I am a size 27 or women's 6 in pants and these run very very small. I quickly realized I needed a size10 to accommodate natural movement in the mountains as well as my long legs. Otherwise, I love the features and butt zip-off area of these bibs / ski-pants.. now I don't have to get completely undressed to go to the bathroom. A wear these with thin wool leggings underneath and tall read more wool socks when I'm ski-touring and they are wonderful. No stretch whatsoever, but the Gore-tex has never failed me!

High performance gore-tex pant

I have used this pant for several years, and it never disappoints. Whether I am ice climbing, alpine climbing, or skiing, this pant always keeps me dry, yet it breathes enough that you don't sweat too much. Its a versatile pant, and it looks good too.

For Ice, Snow and Water

I used the Goret-Tex Norwand Pro jacket and pants for both ice climbing and backcountry skiing. I haven't used them mountaineering, but trust that they'd be excellent. I also used them on the resort. These are not specifically intended for use in the resort, but they definitely can be. You would just have to add a heavier base or mid-layer for really cold days, because the fabric read more isn't as thick and heavy as most ski jackets. Oh and the tightlock button is way better than velcro, which will eat up your base layers. So, I love that little feature too! Gore-Tex is always the nicest luxury to have in your technical pieces, but it was really crucial for this ice climb because there is one section that where you almost always have to dry tool through water. So, I would have been soaked, if I didn't have Gore-Tex. Also, the breathability of Gore-Tex is essential, for both ice climbing and ski touring, since you build up a quite a sweat. Or, at least I do. It was an unusually warm day for ice climbing, so the protection from the wet ice and my sweat, was awesome. The adjustable cuffs are genius. They tighten over your mountaineering boots and expand over your ski boots, so it's perfect for both. The cuff material is really tough, to resist tearing from crampons. But, I definitely dig snag them and pull out a thread. It's not bad, but they aren't as tough as real gaiters. So, if you want to keep these beauties perfect, you may still want to wear gaiters over these. I'm typically a medium/size 4. Mammut runs really small for pants, so I'm a size 8 in these and they fit very well. They do have a zipper on the seat that makes the fabric stick out. It doesn't bother me, since everything else is so good and I'm going for function over form anyway. But, it should be noted. I liked these for skiing for much of the same reasons. They are breathable going uphill and very comfortable to move in. The zip in the back is quite nice, when mother-nature calls your name. I said previously, the high winds at resort will require you layer up a bit more, but you could definitely use this as your one quiver do all, if needed.
