Great pack with incredible organization

This pack is a phenomenal pack if you're headed in for some sport climbing. The organization inside is great for holding ~15 quick draws, a rope, 2 pairs of shoes, harness, chalk bag, and belay device as essentials. I can then either fit water bottles or a helmet inside but it's a bit tough for me to fit both in if there's a rope inside already. I wish it was just a tad big larger, read more but that's more of a preference for me as I'm usually the one carrying a majority of things into the crag. The pack does have 2 exterior pockets, one side-open to the front panel, and one on the top. However, if you decide to carry the rope on the outside via rope strap, it comes out of the top pocket so you are unable to carry anything else in that pocket. All loaded up at about 30-35 lbs I have absolutely no problems with it on approaches about 30 min or so in. If I was going to go for an hour+ approach I'd probably want a bag with hip belt to take load off my shoulder, but as a quick-in bag this thing is streamlined and perfect for that! The ability to completely flatten out the insides once you get to your spot is highly convenient, and if you're an organization nut this bag is absolutely for you!

Gym bag, sport bag, best bag

I needed something designed for gear. The duffel bag wasn't cutting it anymore when I'd head to the gym to hit the walls now that I was lugging a lead rope and a few pairs of shoes. This thing is, currently, holding two pairs of shoes, 40m rope, a harness, chalk bag, extra chalk, several carabiners, two belay devices, a dozen quick draws, deodorant, mouthwash, two protien bars, read more gym clothing, and a towel. And there is room to spare. I lug this to the gym four to six days a week, sitting in a car next to my tool bag and lunch box, and it takes a beating. It's comfortable for walking when I have to park a distance from the gym, it looks nice, and is incredibly useful. I haven't taken it to a crag yet, but I'm confident I could load my 60m rope and a helmet along with the rest of the nonsense. The full opening feature is nice, but I almost never use it at the gym. It opens enough, and easily, to get my rope out and harness out quickly. I wish there was another outside pocket or pouch for a nalgene, but I knew I'd be missing that going in.

This is a really awesome pack!

It's hard to imagine a more versatile pack. I love how it zips all the way open and lays flat. The carpet pad is a nice touch. The only thing I'd suggest for improvement is a daisy chain or gear loops on the outside of the pack to add additional gear. But everything is so smooth and nice it's hard to even ask for that. Great job on this pack Mammut!

Awesome sport pack!

I used this on a trip to Moab and Indian creek! It is definitely a super rad pack for bringing your sport rack up to the crag. I had my 70m rope, 12 draws, belay devices, anchor system, snacks, water, extra clothes in this bag and was able to hang my helmet and shoes on the outside. So the bag works well, the inside organization comes in handy when trying to organize all of your read more stuff, it has mesh pockets and little slings inside to hang things off of. With that being said, this bag was jam packed with the items I listed. There is no way I could fit a trad rack in it, so best to stick this one with sport climbing only! :)

Good crag pack.

I love how much this pack zippers open to allow you to access everything in it without digging around and pulling everything out. It additionally has two extra pockets for smaller items that you don't want to lose. The material is durable for bumping up against rock on more difficult approaches. Not to mention, I just like the look of this pack!

Better than I expected

This bag has been fantastic. I was a little skeptical at first but it holds three pairs of shoes, rope, harness, chalk and bag and plenty of extras. It would be nice if there was a exterior pouch for a water bottle and maybe some additional gear loops on the exterior but that's minor. G

insanely cool pack!

Bought this cause it looked super clean, and love my Mammut ski pack, it was the right size but the description did not portray what is going on here. This whole pack zips open with a burly fat zipper that is really easy to deal with. So many pockets and loops to clip gear to. couple outside pockets and even comes with a rope tarp that is great. even has a little area to wipe read more the grit off your shoes at the start of the climb. Top pocket has a strap to hold a rope if you don't want it in the pack. Super impressed with all this has for the cost. materials are tough and it looks well made. Used it a few times and there is a place for everything you need for a day cragging. The picture is the pack is fully unzipped and loaded with everything needed including a small trad rack. every time I've used it I find something else I like about it. It's lined with a bright green color so easy to see all of your stuff. Really impressed and psyched!
