Great Shoes - They do require break-in

I agree with another reviewer that these shoes are a bit snug and the laces are way to long, but they are great shoes and have worked really well for me on approaches. I ordered my usual size (11) and have no desire to upsize now that they are broken in but if I was looking for a casual shoe I would get a half size larger. For me, they required significant break-in. When I first read more got them they were uncomfortable. They hit my achilles and ankles in an annoying way. Once I got some miles on them they were comfortable. I wore them on some long and steep approaches at Red Rock Canyon and they were great. Great shoes, but I would recommend getting them two weeks to a month before any trips and breaking them in.

Good to Go

So I do love the look of these shoes and I love the plans I have that involve them. I only have two issues. Maybe order a half size bigger than normal, especially if you plan to wear wool socks. My main issue, I shouldn't have to double tie my laces to keep them secure. Why is it I can't find shoes that I don't have to double up on ties? Anyhow, I do love the feel beneath my feet. read more Very sturdy, good ankle heighth.
