Mammut Crag Dry Rope - 9.5mm reviews and deals for sale

Among Mammut's arsenal of Crag climbing ropes, the Crag Dry Rope stands out as an all-arounder for rock, ice, and every route in between. Mammut's Dry treatment excels UIAA's standards for abrasion-resistance as well as water-resistance, so this rope thrives in both desert and alpine environments. The skinny 9.5mm diameter delicately balances between strength and lightness, making the rope suitable for both single- and multi-pitch routes. Mammut added a center mark to quicken rappel rigs.

Love it

This was my first rope and it has been perfect for my needs! After both a season of regular indoor use, followed by a full summer of outdoor use it is still in great condition, albeit a bit dirty. I haven't noticed any damage from a couple of pitches that had some bad rope drag. My friend's BD rope was used on the same pitches and there was some more noticeable wear and tear. I read more would definitely recommend this!

Not gonna end well!

Bought this and I think it was a last years rope as the exact rope is not on the site now. But I think the new version is the one this review is on. Really loose string of sheath that runs throughout the rope. Hard to see in the picture but you can really feel this running it through your hand an through my ATC Guide. This will abrade the bumpy pronounced sections faster than read more the others. Have had Mammut ropes before and had a rope with a similar loose sheath like this, it didn't last a season of normal use. After looking at the packaging I found the ropes are not made in Switzerland anymore. Quality is not the same maybe? Also called their warranty dept and was told this was normal, buyer beware.
