Machines for Freedom Endurance Bib Short - Women's reviews and deals for sale

Many cycling adventures go beyond the borders of the city, and well off into the beyond, winding up steep canyons, rolling through undulating hills of vineyards, and ending 150-miles away from starting point in a quaint village that sleeps under a blanket of stars. The trouble with these adventures isn't the exploration itself, but rather in making sure your kit can support you for the mission. Its moments like these that have us reaching for the Machines For Freedom Endurance Bibs. These bibs are designed for the long ride, offering you compression with paneling that's designed specifically for women, catering to our curves for a flattering fit that hugs your muscles for support while you're putting down the power.

The Endurance Bibs feature an Italian-made chamois that promises long term support for your miles on the bike. It uses ultra-high-density foam padding inserts to alleviate pressure on your sciatic nerve, with wide placement that works for a variety of sit bone widths. The center of the chamois features a high-density pelvic track insert, designed specifically for our anatomy to reduce pressure that causes pain and numbing when in aggressive riding positions. Topping off the chamois is an extremely soft and breathable fabric that features polyamide-carbon threading that ups the drying game, reduces heat, and even claims to fight odor causing bacteria so you can feel fresh when you stop at a café at the midway point.

Designed by women for women, these bibs bring us an assortment of features that other companies seem to skip over. Some of these features include a racerback bib that fits comfortably between shoulder blades and pairs well with sports bras for minimal fidgeting, and a shorter inseam that helps you keep those crisp tan lines hidden when you're in the office. The bibs use panels that move through the hips in a V-shape that both increase the muscular support while you ride, and offer a slimming visual affect that's flattering with any jersey. Preventing the sausage casing effect, the bibs are finished out with a clean and crisp leg band that stays put, but offer enough stretch for a smooth body silhouette.

Extremely Comfortable

I tried on these bibs in a local cycling store about a year ago and never forgot how good they felt. I am a believer that if it doesn't feel right from the get go don't buy it...same with shoes. I decided to buy them from this website at the sale price. These bibs fit like a glove. I am short and stocky (long torso, short legs) so the 7.5 inseam is perfect for my thighs. They read more do run small. The bib has flat seams and compression in all the right places and is very flattering. The chamois is very well constructed and has the thickest part of the pad in all the right places. It was well designed for WOMEN! The only drawback is nature breaks.

Best booty protection

I'm surprised by the reviews that don't like the quality of Machines bibs. I've owned a pair of EVERY high end brand, and this chamois is the only one that sticks to my booty over long, long days. Part of the compression is to keep the shorts in place to avoid saddle sores. I have other bibs that I like, but these have been my go-to for the last 5 years and over thousands and thousands read more of miles. I *do* take the straps to the tailor and make them longer, but I actually do that for all bibs. I don't like it when bib straps pull on my shoulders.

Fabric does not breathe

This pair of bibs is the only one I had to return this summer as the fabric doesn't breathe well in hot temperature even though cut and fit was prolly one of the best on market. I developed skin reactions after one short ride that kept me off bike for 1+week. Sadly this went back :(

Worked for first 100 miles....

Wore on a double century, was really impressed the first 100 miles. However, the upper legs have already worn through. I don't know if this was a faulty product or it's a manufacturer issue.

Allergic to leg bands

Leg bands broke my legs out in a rash. I have returned them. Waiting on a refund

Great bib!

These fit small but are compressive and comfortable. The chamois is one of the best. Great to have options of short or longer lengths for those of us that like more leg coverage.

hourglass cyclist

This bib not only fits, but it makes you look gooood. The panels are beautifully engineered to fit curves, cause no weird bulges, and give this nice hourglass shape. I've heard these described as "Spanx for cycling" and that's pretty accurate. Functionally, they work just as good as they look. On a 4 hour climb-fest I could feel the compression (not restriction) supporting my read more midsection--it felt awesome. The chamois is a 4.5 out of 5--it's really good, but Assos makes the Cadillac of chamois which is a bit better.

The perfect bib

This is a nice compression short. The material appears high quality to me. The best part is the chamoix coverage. I am new to cycling and have two Pearl Izumi shorts and I thought my bottom was always supposed to be sore after rides when using those shorts. However, when I put the MFF bibs on, it felt like a marshmellow on my bottom. I am so thankful for these amazing bibs. read more According to Competitive cyclist I should have gotten a large, but I got a medium instead. They are snug but fit perfectly. My chest size is 38

Too expensive for a mediocre short

MFF is the Glossier of women's cycling with it's slick marketing and swoon worthing instagram. This short is more marketing than functional. At the end of the day, they were not comfortable for me. These shorts run small or run very tight since they sell it as compression. I don't really buy it. Research says you get a margin gain and for most people the performance gains don't read more make up for the discomfort. Their jerseys are beautiful, I'd recommend saving your $$ and springing for the jerseys.

These run small

I liked the fabric, but the fit is very small. And the fabric is truly summer weight, as well, which is fine but not what I was looking for.

addicted!!

Read the blog post on the MFF site "compression doping" to know how these should fit. I was skeptical at first but had reached out to MFF (Ginger!! the bomb!) regarding what size to order. I sent in my measurements & she recommended a size xs, but encouraged me to order both a small and xs as I often fall inbetween sizes. I have taken some long trainer rides on zwift (3 hrs +) read more and i was getting so uncomfortable on the saddle. These made riding that long amazingly bearable, lol, if not "fun" I honestly am addicted to the compression & love the chamois. I have bought form backcountry (love katie!!) and MFF and both have amazing customer service. I have lots of high quality cycling wear and these bibs are hands down my favorite. I bought four pair because i ride daily and i was constantly washing them. Can't recommend these bibs, or this company more highly. Also love my daybreak jacket, galaxy vest, long sleeve summer weight jersey !!

Just no

For the price point these don’t cut it. They should have true flat lock seams and higher quality material. The material is SHINY and looks cheap like shiny spandex from the 80’s. I can see how the fit might be nice if these were in a diff material and better construction details. The shorter length was awesome. The bib straps are wide and made for women. Didn’t ride read more these, because I’m returning but I’m disappointed. I so wanted to like this brand. These are $80> bibs marked up way too much. These remind me of entry level Canaris that I had back in the day. Save your money and get some nice Assos or Giordana for $230

Not an exaggeration... favorite bibs.

Working in the cycling industry can drive one to constantly be searching for "the next best thing". I have been fortunate enough to ride in quality bibs from brands like Assos, Castelli, and Pearl Izumi. I was skeptical that I really needed another pair of bibs when I saw these on the site. The Machines for Freedom story inspired me to at least give them a try. One woman started read more the company after seeing a need for quality kits for lady riders. She along with one other woman do just about everything within the company now. They model in the shoots, craft the emails and advertising, and even box up product bought from their website to ship to customers. It is so refreshing to have a company focus 100% on a better riding experience for women. Back to the bibs- these are honestly my new favorites. Putting them on really feels like they were made for each of my curves. The fabric is so soft and you'll quickly forget you even have them on. Chamois feels great after even after hot, long days. Length of the straps and inseam is right where I would want them. The high cut provides great support throughout the entire midsection. Honestly, these are incredible. I would recommend them to any level of rider; the one who has never tried bibs, the one who has her kit staples, and the one who wants to support a rad company. Found the sizing to mirror brands like Castelli and Assos.
