Trad comfort

The first shoes I ever tried that I didn't immediately want to tear off. I typically wear 39 in almost any shoe. In this shoe I am a 37.5. Incredible for slab, not the best for edging or overhangs. Very grippy rubber. Really where they win is comfort without giving up too much in performance

Inconsistent size

I love these shoes. I bought them almost two years ago and have worn them exclusively. I mostly climb indoors, and these are comfortable enough to wear for my entire session. However, I finally wore a hole in the toe of my old shoes. I ordered these in the exact same size. They appear to be the exact same model. However, these shoes are at least two sizes too small. I don’t know read more what happened. I am not sure what size to order now. I’m going to return and order from somewhere that pays for return shipping so I can figure out the size.

Perfect

I had ogled these climbing shoes since working at an outdoor retailer years ago, and when they finally went on sale for a period of time at Backcountry I pulled the trigger. I am an 8.5/9 and got a 39 -- the fit is just a bit snug which is perfect for climbing. I have only used them indoors so far but the grip is really good, I imagine they would do well outdoors as well (my friends read more are regular climbers and say this is a great all-around shoe). A great investment, especially for new-ish climbers!

Buttery and Delightful

I am a size 10 street shoe and I have a wide forefoot, narrow heels and high arches, so it's super hard to find a perfect fit shoe. Most La Sportiva women's shoes are way too narrow in the toes. Knowing that, I ordered a few sizes of both the women's and the men's version of this shoe. I wanted something with a snug but not tight fit for long multipitch days and cracks (I already read more have the super great death tight shoes that I can only wear for a few laps before I have to cry - Fiveten Anasazi Pro's, they're awesome). The 41 (translates to a women's 9.5) women's is perfect; my toe and heel touch the front and back of the shoe, but nothing is crammed in too tight. When I have cold feet they feel a little roomy, but once I get climbing and they swell up a but the fit is just what I want. If I wanted a more tech fit I'd probably go 39.5 or 39. What I love and what makes the so comfy is that you can completely dial in how they fit on every part of your foot. I loosened them up a bunch at the toe so there's plenty of room up there, and tightened them up over my arch and at the heel. They're basically painted onto my feet. The leather is buttery and delightful and so comfy, right out of the box. I've only worn them a few times to climb so far and I don't feel like the comfort comes at a huge sacrifice of performance at all. It's not like I'm not gonna use them to try and send V8 or anything, so I don't find myself wanting for more aggression out of them. For long moderate routes and all-day comfiness, I'm sold.

All Around Great Climbing Shoe

These shoes are a classic. Have owned this shoe before but they were stolen so I had to replace them. They are the most comfortable shoes that I've ever worn, and I'm able to make them work with my crazy bunions. They mold really well to your foot, and the laces allow for adjustment all the way down to your toes. You can wear these shoes all day long without feeling the pain and read more they work well with all styles of climbing. Excellent shoe.

Love, love, love

I will continue to buy this model of shoes everytime they wear out! The fit and functionality is great. After I wore through the sole, I was able to get the shoes resoled and everything else held up for another season. Not complaints whatsoever!

Go To Shoe!

I bought my Mythos about a year ago and climb 3-5 days a week, so I use them often. They are my go to climbing shoe for trad, multipitch, crack, or a day bouldering in the gym. They do not have a large angle, so they are perfect for a variety of climbing. I highly recommend for any level of climber. I love my Mythos, but I definitely would go down a whole size. I purchased a 38 read more and they have stretched quite a bit. I usually wear a size 8 in women's and I have narrow feet, so I wish I bought a 37.5, maybe a 37. However, they do have laces, so that helps a lot with the stretching in size. All in all, they are super comfortable (for a climbing shoe) and great for all sorts of climbing!

All-time favorite

I wear street size 38.5 and climbing shoes in 37.5/38 but for this pair I went down to a size 36.5. It seems extreme but the suede streches a lot which makes for a super comfy awesome all-day fit. These shoes have seriously spoiled me to the point where these are all I wear. I am curious as to why the laces are so long? I usually triple knot my shoes to keep them out of the way.

Classic

Incredible shoe for long days of multi-pitch. Super comfortable. The lacing system allows the shoes to be adjusted to fit your feet near perfectly. I have a pair stretched from too many resoles that I wear with socks during colder seasons, and they keep my feet super warm.

Don't fix what ain't broke

The Mythos has got to be hands-down the most comfortable shoe out there. The lacing system is such that you can really change the volume of the shoe from toe to heel to perfectly match your foot, as long as you've bought the right length. They can be made to fit almost anyone. And don't let their "trad dad" appearance fool you---these shoes are highly adept at smearing, slabs, read more cracks, and even technical face climbing. They are a tried-and-true design that over decades has perfected the art of making your feet comfortable and capable and then being forgotten. I will keep buying these shoes until I die and I hope La Sportiva never changes them. For me, the right length of shoe was approximately street size (maybe also try .5 size down). Get the length of the sole right so that it matches your foot and you have a nice fit from heel to toe; your toes should be laying flat. You can then adjust the laces to be whatever width you need.

Returned Them But I have Sizing Feedback

I bought these for a trip down in Moab, did they didn't fit and I didn't have time to get the correct size, but I do have sizing feedback. I purchased the 37.5 and I typically wear a 7.5 in women's shoes. I think I should have gone with a 36.5.

I love these shoes!

These are my old standbys they are great for cracks, multipitch and a relaxed day at the crag. They are definitely a comfort above performance shoe but that does not mean that you can't still slay. I got these shoes in a 6.5 because they stretch. My normal shoe size is a 7.5. They have really stood the test of time. Definitely worth the purchase!

She loves it!

Bought this pair for my girlfriend as it's her favorite pair of climbing shoes. They do stretch and it didn't take her very long to break them in. Since they're super comfy, it's her go-to pair on long multi-pitch days, slabs, and splitter cracks. She typically wears Women's 8.5 in sneakers and got a Women's 6.0 for the Mythos.

Classic and Versatile

I purchased these shoes for my girlfriend, who has recently been getting into climbing. I chose these shoes because they have been made and loved by many for the 20 or so years I have been climbing. A versatile shoe for beginners and experts alike.

Beginner's Dream

Man these shoes are comfy. I've been wearing them 2-4 times a week for the past two months as a newbie to indoor bouldering. The lace support around the ankles helps a LOT to secure the fit, you can tie them on snugly without heel slipping. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the laces are pretty long but I just do a knotted loop after tying to keep them in place. I typically read more wear a 6.5 in everyday shoes, 7 in sneakers, and ended up with a 36.5 in the Mythos. The leather has stretched a bit over time but there's no negative impact to comfort or fit. Highly recommend these, plus the mint is super cute!

Fantastic Beginner Climbing Shoe

I'm a relatively new climber. I don't climb indoors, just outdoors. When I initially bought climbing shoes, the guy at a local store talked me out of the Mythos and into some more technical shoes that fit painfully tight. I climbed in them a number of times and was super unhappy and in pain every time, and it definitely affected my climbing. I know climbing shoes aren't supposed read more to be comfortable but I was about ready to give up. I knew I'd be climbing the First Flatiron in Boulder this last weekend, so I ordered the Mythos last week. The First Flatiron is about 1000 ft of relatively easy climbing, 5.4-5.6 difficulty. I was a little nervous about wearing new shoes for an all day climb, but they were fantastic! Great grip, very comfortable. I felt a lot more comfortable on slab than I did in my other shoes. I ordered a 37.5 and I think they will be great as the laces make them adjustable through the entire length of the shoe and heel. I am generally a 6.5 in normal shoes, 7-7.5 in athletic shoes. I do think these run larger compared to other brands as my other climbing shoes (Scarpa) are 38s and those make me want to cry.

How is the curve on this pair? I’m looking for a moderate curve and the pictures seem to make the curve look quite flat.
